Q: Do we have data encryption before cloud upload?

Hello,

If i understand well, Snapshots and auto snapshots are saved, along with 3GB per website allowed by the licence (5 for licence tier 1, 50 for tier 2...), to any supported cloud, ie WP Reset Cloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, Icedrive, or pCloud; right ?

Second question : by doing things on question one, do we have data encryption before cloud upload?

A: Hello,
Yes, that's correct! Snapshots and automatic snapshots are saved to your selected supported cloud storage provider, subject to the storage limits associated with your license tier.

Regarding encryption, snapshots are currently uploaded without an additional encryption layer applied by WP Reset before the upload. We understand the importance of data security and agree that client-side encryption would be a valuable enhancement. It's something we'd like to explore for a future update, although we can't make any promises regarding its availability or timeline just yet.

Thank you for raising these questions and for helping us identify areas where we can continue to improve WP Reset!

Thanks, but if my cloud is pcloud, why should we be limited in storage size? About encryption, yes, unencrypted transfert of such sensitive data and stored in a place that can be hacked is a weakness.

Hey,
The 3 GB snapshot limit in WP Reset applies only to native cloud servers (WP Reset cloud). If you use pCloud storage, there is no snapshot size limit, so you can store snapshots larger than 3 GB without any issues.
