Q: White label Functionality Check

How does the white-labeling option technically work? For example, once we enable it, would we be able to generate a downloadable plugin package under our branding that can be installed across client sites? (definitely it will be activated with license key )

Is there an automated or bulk deployment option available, or would each site require manual installation and activation of the plugin? Since we are a WordPress as a service company and wanted to see if can make wp security ninja pre installed and activated with each new WordPress launched on our product.

Finally, in the case of white labeling, would the updates (security patches, new features, etc.) still flow seamlessly from your end, even if the plugin is rebranded?

A: Hello - Thank you for your questions. The white label works in such a way that it changes the name in the interface for the users, but the plugin would still get updates in the background via the update servers.

There is a way to for you to create a custom .zip of our plugin with a license_key.txt file added in the zip file, this would let the plugin detect the license key and automatically activate itself https://wpsecurityninja.com/docs/license/automated-license-activation-for-multiple-sites-license-txt/

The plugin removes any and all references to help and documentation, and you are of course expected to support your customers yourself directly, but yes - The plugin would still carry on, just with a different name/brand/logo.
