I like WritingMate. The images are realistic, the chat interface is simple, and I like the direction the company is heading. Overall, I think it’s worth buying because it can help save on LLM costs.

Writing mate essentially allows you to create images, create videos, and use chat models like chatgpt, claude, and other popular ai models. It does have a cap in terms of how much you can use so i personally recommend going with the most expensive tier because you need to think about it like how much you would pay in a year for a subscription for multiple llms. If you look at it from this angle then it is a no brainer to buy the most expensive tier.

A few improvements I’d love to see:

Right now, videos are limited to 10 seconds. Could you please add a 15-second video option?

Also, there currently isn’t a 1080p option for video. I’d really like to see 1080p added, even if it requires more credits.

Lastly, could you please add the following video models:
- Google Omni (this is google's newly released video model)
- LTX 2.3
- Aleph 2.0
- Wan 2.7,
- Wan 2.6
- Wan 2.5
- Kling 3.0 Motion Control
- Meta Movie Gen — add to the video generation/editing roadmap if API access becomes available

Please also add the following image models:
- Qwen-Image-2.0 - A 7B-parameter unified model for text-to-image and image editing, known for native 2K resolution, strong text rendering inside images, and high realism.
- Z Turbo - A very affordable image model that is especially good at realism.
- HiDream-I1 - The full image version, which is great for animation and fantasy-style images.
- Krea 2 - a midjourney competitor
- Ideogram v4.0 - logo generator

LLM Models:
- perplexity pro and perplexity deep research models.
- Meta Muse Spark — add when API access becomes available
- Llama 4 Scout — for fast, lower-cost long-document and multimodal tasks
- Llama 4 Behemoth — monitor and add if/when Meta releases it publicly

Besides that, I genuinely like WritingMate and think it has a lot of potential. Thanks.

Also i do have a question, you mentioned on another review --- we add our own prompt modifications in the UI, so these are not PURE models.

What do you mean, can you elaborate more on that statement?

Hi, I just bought Tier 2 through AppSumo and I wasn't very impressed with the initial tests.

Please help me with a few questions to see if I should continue with the program.

1. Can the models search the internet? I ran a couple of tests and got errors.
2. Can I use unused tokens one day on another? I agree with the monthly limit, but not the daily limit.
3. Are these the original models or modified versions?

I have bought many of AppSumo's Ai related deals and this one is hands down one of the bests, if you know anything about ai or trying to do anything with AI
1. You need APIs or MCPs, if you are using an interface then you are not really using AI.
2. Lifetime deals should have sustainable and have an enticing offer, I like it that they include fair usage limits that speaks that they are here for the long play. But I would appreciate weekly limits rather than daily is not how most people will use it, now I am tied to my software to get what I bought and that kind of sucks.

I tried the interface and images I cannot rename them, nor I know which model they were produced with so those are nice to haves
one critical fix is the image as a reference image for creating an image or a video and yes at least one, there are models you can use multiple reference images but please have at least 1 reference image because for storyboarding and character consistency that is key.

I was pleasantly surprised on the text LLMs and specially on agent mode, that uses multiple different model that was wild, so kudos on that.

I will continue testing it but after reading most of the reviews and many of the questions I decided to go with tier 4 and I think is great now if I do not see any improvement on few things might actually speak of support that it is key but we will see.

Funny thing is that after I finished used it, I realized that I bought a lifetime license compared to my other ai subscriptions so that really placed a smile on my face.

I bought the Tier4 Licence since I once in a while need to use GPT5 Pro for help with mathematical proofs and some advanced mathematics.

I intentionally selected GPT5 Pro. However, it is clear the access is not to the real GPT5 Pro. I don't know what models the output is coming from, but it seems to be coming from some "watered down" non-reasoning model. It can't even solve simple mathematical proofs or problems, and the response mixes between mathjax and unicode mathematics.

I have access to the actual GPT-5Pro from OpenAI, and I have never ever encountered GPT5 Pro doing this kind of stuff. I asked the model itself on writingmate.ai whether it was GPT5 Pro, and it responded it was an assistant named openai/gpt5. But that is not the same thing as the pro model! My sense after doing testing is the models may be low-tier model which are just instructed/pre-ptromted heavily to respond that they are really GPT5.

This was literally my first 2 prompts to the model, so I have definitely not used up any quota for access to Pro models.

The fact that it is listed and I am able to select it, and getting some other low-quality model raises some serious red flags for me.

Features - 9/10.
Privacy T&C - 7/10 (atleast better than competitors, However please try improve though)
Mobile app - 3/10. (No dedicated app. But as PWA in mobile browser)
Credits - 2/10. (Total credits are not less, we can understand that its costing to dev. However, daily limit is bottleneck - It makes app. unusable, breaks the continuity of project or research one is working on)
