A: Thanks for raising this. We didn’t make this change targeting AppSumo users - it’s a product-wide update driven by feedback from the community (including many Sumolings). The old credit-per-component system was confusing and unpredictable, so we moved to a simpler video-based model: flat usage no matter which voices or features are used instead of calculating credit usage for each video individually.
Since launch, we’ve added many new capabilities like AI avatars and voice cloning, and AppSumo customers get to use these upgrades and will continue to do so. For fully AI-generated scenes, we integrated external providers and offer credits for those separately -available to everyone, including Sumolings, if they want to use them.
