2. Yes, you can just copy and paste the link you see from the browser. Send it as a first message on the other canvas, this should work fine as a work around. But a link feature like it is done in Jira linking stories that is not possible now. Custom fields might be a good solution for such use cases.

My apologies for delay in replying your questions.
1. It is a Yes for all your use cases. For coding you can use Smart Comments to leave code comments on github for example. For design you can upload design images as Image canvas and use smart comments. For content reviews you can upload a PDF file or leave smart comments on google docs. Btw, a smart comment is a Zooc term, we allow you to leave audio, video and screen recorded comments on any comment box on a web app. For example if you have a google doc, and have our chrome extension installed, then right click on the comment box of google docs, you will see "Send Smart Comments" in the menu. The user role management for giving restrict access to each user is limited for now. A user which is added to a workspace is able to see and edit all the canvases of that workspace only.
2. We don't have an email notification yet in Zooc for each new conversation you have on Zooc. It is intentional as it can easy get too much. The notifications services we have for now are in three places; 1) In the dashboard of Zooc, whenever you open your Zooc, you can see the notifications icon on the top right corner of the dashboard from where you can see if you got a new message on a Canvas. 2) The Zooc chrome extension will give you the notifications of any communication you have. 3) You can additionally add the "Slack WebHook" feature from the Integrations menu that will give you a notification on your selected Slack channel/contact whenever you get a new message on Zooc.
3. It is Canvas not Canva. Depending on the type of canvas you are working on, yes you can add a comment to any section of the screen. For example on an image, whiteboard, PDF and live website you can point and click to leave a comment and open a chat window at any part of the screen. For a video and audio canvas type you can leave a comment at any second of the timeline of the video/audio.
4. You will get all the future updates and bug fixes. You can check the pricing page on https://zooc.io/pricing/ and for one code you get the Product Teams package (although the prices will increase in near future for normal users from $5.99) and two codes will get you the Digital Agencies package. When you stack more codes, it will increase the storage limit and number of users you can buy.
5. Yes you are right. This feature is on our highiest priority and soon we will release it.

3. We have Projects and underneath that multiple workspaces. If your project is large and you have multiple teams working together, we would recommend creating a Project for it and then one workspace for each team. Otherwise if your project is small and you can manage it with one workspace then you can create a general Zooc Project which would hold all the workspaces of your projects and then you can assign the users in their respective workspaces.
4. Yes, it is a cloud service and all the documents are stored on AWS and GCP with HTTPS enabled for all the traffic. You are the only person who can have access to your documents unless you made it public.

Your account comes with one built-in organization, you can add mltiple projects into that organization which you can delete from the Projects menu. When you invite someone from another organization into one of your workspaces, then you get a dropdown showing both your and the invitee's organizations. In future we will allow you to edit your organization name and upload a logo.

Aside from the CName, QuickReviewer doesn't allow comment on websites easily, which code is required to be inserted. However, it seems easier on Zooc. Hopefully, you could clarify more from the perspective of how Zooc is a better candidate to QuickReviewer. Thank you Aemal.
Zooc has one Canvas, the video cavnas, that can be compared to QuickReviewer, the rest all of the features on Zooc are extra. For exmaple on QuickReviewer you can't send voice clips, video clips and screen recorded clips. Zooc is a collaboration tool and QuickReviewer is a video feedback tool more like frame.io.
We have a canvas called Live Website, that allows you to point and click and start a thread on any website. This isn't the case with QuickReviewer.
Hi Aemal, with your prompt response, I immediately got a code to try it out. I agree with your vision, this could be revolutionary. However, I believe you know this as well, the UI is still far from "usable", such as drag-and-drop, moving/delete the comment circle, the video timeline doesn't match well with the comment timestamp.
I'm using QuickReviewer for media collaboration, and Teams for my team communication. I would love to just use Zooc for these purposes, and stack up the codes, while sharing this great tool.
These are the following that stops me from "migrating" over: - Guests (without signing up) access to the canvas / workspace - CName, to retain professional image towards clients - Versioning of media when revision is done, so may look through the previous version for difference. - Comparing two different version side-by-side - Annotation can't be saved / stay in its location within the timestamp - Much UI bugs which is too much to detail here
Overall, I'm over the fence to refund and stick to my current tools, or stack up codes and grow with Zooc as it improves. I can understand these are hard to address right now, but so far I see that there is no clear roadmap. You could address these with your plan, else many others may just turn away without recognizing Zooc's potential.
So my question is, can you please address these and other issues that others have highlighted, in clear roadmap with your elaboration. Thanks, Aemal. I'm excited to see this yet there are too much uncertainty to remain hopeful.
I agree with most of what you wrote, but we are fixing bugs on daily basis and soon we will have most of the crucial parts fixed. I know our campaign didn't turn out as expected, but I interpret it with a positive attitude; I would love to grow with people like yourself who are supportive even if it is less. As an early stage startup, quality is more important than quantity for now. I can only improve the quality of this software witht he support and feedback of patient Sumolings.
We will release a roadmap this week and you can see most of the stuff that you might need to do the migration with some tentitive deadlines.

I don't want my transient collaborators (viewers?) to have to register. This is a hard block.

I love the concept of rich async communication but restricting it ONLY to a browser is quite limiting. Eg if I wanted to create a video of a photoshop file, showing different layers etc it would be great to use this tool in that context.

The Slack integration allows you to send voice, video and screen recorded clips right into slack and notify you of any new message you get on your workspace. There are no limits on Slack integration.

We are using AES and all the traffic is on SSL. We are based on Multi-cloud (GCP and AWS).
The main account older can purge the entire data by deleting his/her account.

Multiple project feature is only available in Digital Agency package that can be enabled with purchasing at least two AppSumo codes. Again sorry for not being clear on our messaging in here, we are working hard to improve things upon feedback of lovely Sumolings like yourself.
We are a fully bootstrapped startup baked by a profitable agency. Hence our runway is pretty much unlimited. Thus we are currently raising funds. But in the startup world you can imagine, only 10% are successful and there is no gurantee that you can be around for the next two years. Specially in such a competitive and curcial vertical.
Despite all, we are ambitiously working on making Zooc the next gen collaboration platform. It would be a one stop shop for product team's major communication, collaboration and project management needs.
Yes, it can do so but for now it only records your webcam on a full page with three different sizes from one tab and then when you switch tab it doesn't show the small webcam view on the bottom left corner. This is a feature in our chrome extension backlog and in future we will provide this and the annoation on any web page on a screen recording session.

My apologies for delay in replying your questions.
1. It is a Yes for all your use cases. For coding you can use Smart Comments to leave code comments on github for example. For design you can upload design images as Image canvas and use smart comments. For content reviews you can upload a PDF file or leave smart comments on google docs. Btw, a smart comment is a Zooc term, we allow you to leave audio, video and screen recorded comments on any comment box on a web app. For example if you have a google doc, and have our chrome extension installed, then right click on the comment box of google docs, you will see "Send Smart Comments" in the menu. The user role management for giving restrict access to each user is limited for now. A user which is added to a workspace is able to see and edit all the canvases of that workspace only.
2. We don't have an email notification yet in Zooc for each new conversation you have on Zooc. It is intentional as it can easy get too much. The notifications services we have for now are in three places; 1) In the dashboard of Zooc, whenever you open your Zooc, you can see the notifications icon on the top right corner of the dashboard from where you can see if you got a new message on a Canvas. 2) The Zooc chrome extension will give you the notifications of any communication you have. 3) You can additionally add the "Slack WebHook" feature from the Integrations menu that will give you a notification on your selected Slack channel/contact whenever you get a new message on Zooc.
3. It is Canvas not Canva. Depending on the type of canvas you are working on, yes you can add a comment to any section of the screen. For example on an image, whiteboard, PDF and live website you can point and click to leave a comment and open a chat window at any part of the screen. For a video and audio canvas type you can leave a comment at any second of the timeline of the video/audio.
4. You will get all the future updates and bug fixes. You can check the pricing page on https://zooc.io/pricing/ and for one code you get the Product Teams package (although the prices will increase in near future for normal users from $5.99) and two codes will get you the Digital Agencies package. When you stack more codes, it will increase the storage limit and number of users you can buy.
5. Yes you are right. This feature is on our highiest priority and soon we will release it.
6. Yes this is what we call Smart Comments as I explained in my first answer.

Can this tool be used for client approvals of documents and files?

Here are my answers:
1. Yes, this can be used for this use case.
2. You can upload PDF, video, audio and images. We don't support excel files as of now.
3. We have Projects and underneath that multiple workspaces. If your project is large and you have multiple teams working together, we would recommend creating a Project for it and then one workspace for each team. Otherwise if your project is small and you can manage it with one workspace then you can create a general Zooc Project which would hold all the workspaces of your projects and then you can assign the users in their respective workspaces.
4. Yes, it is a cloud service and all the documents are stored on AWS and GCP with HTTPS enabled for all the traffic. You are the only person who can have access to your documents unless you made it public.
5. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) and as a German company we intent to follow it strictly
6. It depends on your needs. One code will give you 12 users and it increases as you stack more codes. Thus there are storage and number of canvases limits on one code and that is dramatically increased when you stack codes.
7. You can delete users to free up space for adding new users.

1. Our old name was FeedbackHero and since our focus changed from a feedback tool to a collaboration tool therefore we changed the name.
2. No. But upon enough request from our user base we will consider making user roles to different granular levels.
3. Each video clip has a 10mins time limit for now. It is just for keeping the conversations short but in different iterations. Upon different use cases, we may provide a feature of controling this number from a settings area by an admin.

6. Yes, you can capture your webcam and/or screen like Loom.
7. Yes, when you make your canvas public you can share it with external users and they can just see it. They have to register in order to be able to leave comments on your canvases. hello, I'm looking for a support link on the website. I created several organizations and I don't know how to delete them. I need to understand if it is unlimited and how I delete it. I still don't understand the logic of organization x projects x workspace.
Your account comes with one built-in organization, you can add mltiple projects into that organization which you can delete from the Projects menu. When you invite someone from another organization into one of your workspaces, then you get a dropdown showing both your and the invitee's organizations. In future we will allow you to edit your organization name and upload a logo.

Zooc has one Canvas, the video cavnas, that can be compared to QuickReviewer, the rest all of the features on Zooc are extra. For exmaple on QuickReviewer you can't send voice clips, video clips and screen recorded clips. Zooc is a collaboration tool and QuickReviewer is a video feedback tool more like frame.io.
We have a canvas called Live Website, that allows you to point and click and start a thread on any website. This isn't the case with QuickReviewer.

Hi Aemal, with your prompt response, I immediately got a code to try it out. I agree with your vision, this could be revolutionary. However, I believe you know this as well, the UI is still far from "usable", such as drag-and-drop, moving/delete the comment circle, the video timeline doesn't match well with the comment timestamp.
I'm using QuickReviewer for media collaboration, and Teams for my team communication. I would love to just use Zooc for these purposes, and stack up the codes, while sharing this great tool.
These are the following that stops me from "migrating" over:
- Guests (without signing up) access to the canvas / workspace
- CName, to retain professional image towards clients
- Versioning of media when revision is done, so may look through the previous version for difference.
- Comparing two different version side-by-side
- Annotation can't be saved / stay in its location within the timestamp
- Much UI bugs which is too much to detail here
Overall, I'm over the fence to refund and stick to my current tools, or stack up codes and grow with Zooc as it improves. I can understand these are hard to address right now, but so far I see that there is no clear roadmap. You could address these with your plan, else many others may just turn away without recognizing Zooc's potential.
So my question is, can you please address these and other issues that others have highlighted, in clear roadmap with your elaboration. Thanks, Aemal. I'm excited to see this yet there are too much uncertainty to remain hopeful.

I agree with most of what you wrote, but we are fixing bugs on daily basis and soon we will have most of the crucial parts fixed. I know our campaign didn't turn out as expected, but I interpret it with a positive attitude; I would love to grow with people like yourself who are supportive even if it is less. As an early stage startup, quality is more important than quantity for now. I can only improve the quality of this software witht he support and feedback of patient Sumolings.
We will release a roadmap this week and you can see most of the stuff that you might need to do the migration with some tentitive deadlines.

Do you have any plans to create an application that will allow you to take videos OUTSIDE of a browser?
I love the concept of rich async communication but restricting it ONLY to a browser is quite limiting. Eg if I wanted to create a video of a photoshop file, showing different layers etc it would be great to use this tool in that context.
2. If/when you run out of space is there a way to archive those videos somewhere (send to dropbox,gdrive,download) or is the only option to delete old recordings to free up space?

The main account older can purge the entire data by deleting his/her account.
The system stores anynomous analytics information automatically i.e. the number of clicks on a specific button. We use this data to improve UX.

Yes, it can do so but for now it only records your webcam on a full page with three different sizes from one tab and then when you switch tab it doesn't show the small webcam view on the bottom left corner. This is a feature in our chrome extension backlog and in future we will provide this and the annoation on any web page on a screen recording session.
