Zylvie - High-Converting Checkout Software

Product details

Q: Will Zylvie work for my small, global NGO (non-profit) sales & tax requirements?

I am based in the EU and want to sell low-volume digital products and online coaching and workshops to small NGOs working with street children in Africa, Asia, South-America, etc. But I am nervous about all the TAX implications.

Will Zylvie work fine for this use case? I understand that with Zylvie I am fully responsible for all the tax filings, which could be a huge pain. Would it be better for me to go for a MoR (Merchant of Record) software - like Paddle or LemonSqueezy, who process all the tax filings in all the relevant countries, against a small fee?

What exactly does Zylvie do, that still could make my setup work well -- and what are Zylvie's limitations for this use case?

I would love to get your honest advice. If Zylvie could work, I'd love to buy the highest tier, as your tool seems very powerful overall.

Thanks!

A: Hi Meindert,

Yes, Zylvie will work marvelously for your use case.

Yes, we collect all applicable taxes at checkout for you.

And yes, we also allow you to export all your tax transactions to make end-of-year accounting/tax calculations a lot easier.

We have plenty of EU users, and they do fine.

There's no reason to use an MoR.

The main benefit of Zylvie vs. these MoRs is that we allow you a lot more control (plus way lower fees when you only pay Stripe fees).

Paddle is a glorified Stripe; it doesn't even provide landing pages, product pages, multiple brands, let alone upsells, order bumps, cart functionality, cart recovery, post-purchase integrations, Meta pixel integration, etc. etc., all the things that make Zylvie such a powerhouse in online selling.

Lemon Squeezy is barely one step above, providing only basic product pages on top of Paddle.

When deciding which platform to use, "taxes" should not be your main concern.

Your main concern should be to maximize sales and Average Order Value, and that's where we shine above simple MoRs whose only selling point is "we pay taxes for you."

Hope this clarifies!

With thanks,
Jay
