1. I noticed in your knowledge base you talk about "forms". These are essential to me, but I really can NOT find it.. (I opened a trial account). Could you explain to me where I can find forms? And what kind of forms I can create.
2. Do forms allow for file uploads?
3. Is there an integration with Google Calendar. One way is fine as long as its FROM your system TO my personal agenda. I'm often on the move, using personal agenda, and would be nice to be able to see deadlines.
4. Is there a way to add excel sheets, or sheets similar to excel, anywhere, and edit them from WITHIN your tool? This is truly critical for me right now. I do SO much with excel, and especially keyword research for example. I really want to switch away from excel sheets and make me able to connect it to specific tasks. What can I expect with this regard? Also, many of my clients use excel too.
5. I saw some review mentioning you *removed* custom fields? Why? It doesn't really make sense to me to remove them if they were there? These would come in handy..
6. How about task automation? For example, in my current tool I have the following automation set up: * Client is assigned a task * Client marks task as "completed" * Task gets moved to a column called "Ready" * Task gets marked as "uncompleted" * Client is unassigned from task * I am assigned to the task

3. Yes, you can export the ActiveCollab Calendar to Google Calendar, OS X Calendar, Outlook, or any application that supports iCalendar feeds. Just note that you’ll see the calendar, and it will update automatically, but you’ll still only be able to Add or Edit events from ActiveCollab.

5. Yes, you are correct. ActiveCollab used to have custom fields, and they were upgraded to labels 🏷, as means to add additional information to the tasks. Tasks can have any number of labels, they are colored and our customers use labels for all sorts of things. Even with that, we received requests to bring back the dedicated custom fields feature, and it’s under consideration. No solid plans to share just yet.
6. Currently, task automation is not possible on ActiveCollab. I’ll forward this one as well.

It’s a great plan and yes, it’s very cheap for what it is, but if it doesn’t cover your needs it’ll be shelve ware. There are a few essentials missing for serious users in that case especially differentiation on user limits only won’t work. Anyway, I’ll be watching this space. Q: I'm currently using Harvest for our time tracking and estimates/invoices.
Just wondering how Active collab compares to Harvest? Also some more specific questions:
1. Is there a workflow where you can convert an approved estimate into a job/project, and then a job/project into an invoice?
2. Is there a menu-bar time tracker (or one in the works)? This really is the killer feature I get stuck on when attempting to move away from Harvest. The only other platform I've noticed with one is Bonsai.

ActiveCollab is a powerful project management tool that offers a lot of features! 🚀
You can track time with our Stopwatch in both desktop and web app, and the Stopwatch also shows up on the menu bar while running! ⏱ While you cannot use Stopwatch on the Mobile app, you can still add time records through the mobile app.
An Estimate can be converted to an Invoice or a Project ✔️ and any billable expense or time added, can also be turned into an Invoice✔️

Q: Hello Sumolings 👋 Our team will be making two changes to AppSumo plans: 🚀 All AppSumo plans will be upgraded to include all Pro features.
If we add features to Pro plan in the future, you’ll get them as well.
🚀 Get-Paid bundle will be available to Sumolings with 50% discount. This bundle adds some great features, like team timesheet, workload management, invoicing and estimates, project profitability and more. With that discount, it’s only $2 a month per occupied user slot. Example: if you have T2 with 15 slots, but are only using 3, you will be charged only for used slots - $6 a month in total.
🚀 Option to buy extra seats is also planned for second half of June. Principle is the same - add-on with 50% off our regular prices. You’ll be able to purchase extra 5, 10 and 15 seats (or any combination of the three, for up to 30 extra seats) for $17.5, $35 and $52.5 a month respectively.
Team is currently working on enabling Pro features and making Get-Paid bundle available. If all goes as planned, these changes will be rolled-out later today.
We hope that upgrade to Pro and access to bundles will give your team an environment to flourish for years. 🌱

look like near opposite information. Do you mean all Pro features minus the bundles?
so the Appsumo deal is upgraded with these features :
- Expense Tracking
- Time Reports
- Advanced Reporting
If yes, can we detail what are these 3 features about (ie their capabilities)?

Thank you for reaching out 🙏 Pro plan does not include access to bundles - they are sold and activated separately. You can activate them at any time. Reports that will be unlocked with Pro plan alone are two time related reports and expense tracking report. If you go with Get-Paid bundle, you'll also get two extra reports, one for time estimates and one for budgets.

Thank you, I saw the update. This is not exactly the point of a lifetime deal, is it? Alternative tools include all the basics, and I don't see why I would pay extra on an ongoing basis for basics like invoicing etc, which are the main reason to get such a freelancer too in the first place. I'll have to pass and go with something else here :)

Q: I’m just here to say that I’ve bought the highest tier, but am like many (if not most) others hanging out ...
for the news on the Pro upgrade path, or changes in tiers and/ or inclusions. I’ve read a few of your replies and in this case I do feel you are missing an important opportunity. It’s a great plan and yes, it’s very cheap for what it is, but if it doesn’t cover your needs it’ll be shelve ware. There are a few essentials missing for serious users in that case especially differentiation on user limits only won’t work. Anyway, I’ll be watching this space. Great product and great offer, just let us know what is needed to get those Pro vibes going.

Thank you for your quick reply. I’m sorry to see that you’re aiming more or less for a less experienced audience with this deal. This was exactly my point, it’s a really great tool and I’m sure it’s great for people who don’t need those features that are essential to others, however if you aren’t aiming to ‘learn how to be a ninja’ in the coming weeks or months and just need a few more extra features to make it work for your business, it probably best to wait and see what the upgrade path might be.
