Q: Going beyond the obvious…
Hi - as some with 3 Macs and iPhones, I’m keen on this. Some questions:
1) what’s happening with the captured screen recording and audio? Obviously, I’m concerned about privacy and more.
2) are meetings captured even if I use headphones? How well does it integrate with Teams?
3) what else can it do? Once it learns my patterns - e.g I’m switching windows, using Claude and ChatGPT, and other general workflows - what can it do with it?
4) Does it integrate with MX Keys S and MxMaster 4?
I feel like there is value hidden here but unable to unearth it reading description and questions alone.
Also, is an iPhone app in the works?
Thanks and all the best!

1) Transcription is happening on your device, even speaker diarization, so it's fully private. Regarding screenshots and data extracted from apps, if you use the Sumo router, the data is sent to our server and the AI provider. Chats are not saved and not used for training. You can see our privacy policy here with details about the providers policies: https://alterhq.com/privacy-policy
The Sumo router is currently using providers with an immediate deletion window, meaning once the inference is done, the data is cleared, there's no logs.
2) Yes, you can use headphones and choose your input device directly from the app. It works well on Teams both through a browser or the app.
3) A lot of different things. You can have workspaces to work with your local files and folders. You can generate documents like word document, xlsx files. You can create automations and connect with Gmail, Google Docs and pretty much any apps.
People are using Alter for content, for managing their inbox, their Obsidian vault, for capturing notes, quickly get Youtube summaries, etc.
4) Unsure, you can customize shortcuts if that's the question behind
A mobile app is on the roadmap and it's one of the most requested feature by the community.
