Q: Does any AppSumo Tier has Voice processor and Automation permission?
I recently purchased the Tier 1 package from AppSumo and activated my license yesterday. While exploring the settings, I noticed in the Doctor section that it indicates automation access could not be confirmed under Automation. Additionally, it appears that the Tier 1 plan may not include cloud dictation access under Plan Access for Voice Processor. I am wondering if other AppSumo tiers offer this...
Q: Help make sense of your "requests" term with BYOK vs most BYOK apps
Assuming I can use openrouter, requesty, lmstudio or another byok or local option that I would be paying for, how does this term "requests" relate and is that an ongoing add'l fee? We're also paying for each new call made to use our own keys? Example: there are 7500 "requests" on T1. If I send a (BYOK) chat request: "what color is the sky?" Then get a response "blue", does this mean ~2 reqs are...

A: It's two different things. Requests are included AI usage, it's only used while you chat with the Sumo router.
When you use your own providers there's no requests counted, it's totally unlimited and free for you.
In other words when you use BYOK, there's no decrease in the requests provided by the AppSumo deal.
BYOK = power Alter by yourself and as long as you want (this is a lifetime...
What is the difference between Alter and the new macOS 27 with Apple Intelligence Siri? Siri can do everything we ask, and it now has a built-in indexing system, so all files on the MacBook are already indexed. How do you compare that with Alter? How is Alter different as a third-party app compared to the native macOS feature with Siri and Apple Intelligence? What makes Alter new and different?

A: 1. Alter works with all your apps right now. Siri AI needs developers to integrate App Intents
2. Alter has more features to cover all your productivity needs: meetings, context-aware dictation, works with your files, folders and generate documents (eg manage your Obsidian vault for example)
3. Alter supports MCP servers and 2,000+ tools to connect with your favorite apps, including Gmail....
Could you please explain the differences between Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Hermes Desktop, and other similar products? I’m curious about Alter’s long-term plan to compete with big names in the market.

A: Both Outlook and Gmail are supported so you can draft, send, search, archive emails, etc.
Example from my action Gmail Daily Briefs available on the marketplace https://alterhq.com/marketplace/daily-gmail-briefs and my video about it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovfPunKLGqc
Q: Credits? What exactly can a single credit do for me?
Please break down how the credits would be spent if I asked alter to do anything- is it one credit per request? Does it depend on what we are asking of it or number of pages or mins ? At the least I would want it to a) delete and email / emails if that is possible. B)Create a document C) Upload an audio recording to my drive or another software that we log into on a browser?
Also can it only work on apps installed into the mac .

A: Hi,
It's not credits, it's real http requests so asking something will cost a request and each turn in your conversation will also cost a request. Creating a document can take 1 request or many if the AI needs to work on it multiple times.
Transcribing an audio recording is another thing totally. Meeting, dictation, transcription is not consuming requests, it's unlimited.
what can it do hen it it connected to a gmail account? Can it only compose & send emails and attachments or can it delete or carry out other things in the gmail account? and if so what are the commands I can use in gmail for example?
