Q: Help make sense of your "requests" term with BYOK vs most BYOK apps
Assuming I can use openrouter, requesty, lmstudio or another byok or local option that I would be paying for, how does this term "requests" relate and is that an ongoing add'l fee? We're also paying for each new call made to use our own keys? Example: there are 7500 "requests" on T1. If I send a (BYOK) chat request: "what color is the sky?" Then get a response "blue", does this mean ~2 reqs are deducted from the 7500. So I need to keep buying more 1-time use "requests" to use Alter, OR are those "requests" just 1-time use credits for calls made to your "kimi-2.5-ish" model router + any inference for additional steps? I've used several local byok apps, but confused by these pricing terms & what it actually means vs every other byok client. With my keys do I pay LTD+BYOK or LTD+BYOK+ongoing request credts on top of my BYOK API costs?

Jun 16, 2026A: It's two different things. Requests are included AI usage, it's only used while you chat with the Sumo router.
When you use your own providers there's no requests counted, it's totally unlimited and free for you.
In other words when you use BYOK, there's no decrease in the requests provided by the AppSumo deal.
BYOK = power Alter by yourself and as long as you want (this is a lifetime deal)
