Q: Bought Tier 5 but dashboard still limited to 1 build
I purchased the Tier 5 deal which includes unlimited Pay-per-app apps, Android & iOS build access, and unlimited builds. However, on my dashboard I only see the Preview plan, limited to 1 Android build and no iOS option.
How do I activate the full Tier 5 license and get access to all promised features?
I am reposting because you're not answering the followup: I have an AppSumo Tier 5 and I got emails I have been downgraded to Basic support? Why is that?
I got this email "You’ve now been downgraded to the Basic support plan. If you found value in the Business support plan and wish to continue accessing support via email, chat, and call, consider upgrading."
Your answer on my other post makes no sense: "When you sign up on AppMySite, you’re automatically assigned a Business support plan, for free, for the period of 1 month. Once the one-month period ends, your support plan goes back to the Basic support plan."
Because I activated AppMySite from my AppSumo in August 2021 - years ago and this happened now. Your changing my plan out of the blue.
The reason you received the email now is that we were offering the business support plan to all customers for a month. This was a temporary promotion we ran in February and March. It involved a one-time, one-month access to our business support plan. It was essentially a promotion to let all customers get access to our premium support options. Please understand that the level of support remains the same as we promised back in 2021. You can continue to reach out to our support team and get any issues you are facing resolved.
You can upgrade your AppSumo license. You can visit this article on how to upgrade your license – https://help.appsumo.com/article/106-upgrading-downgrading-my-license
Can I literally create an app from scratch and name it and then search that name in the app store and use it? Is there any additional charges or things I would need to connect to make it functioning? Can I charge for my app?
Yes! You can create an app from scratch, give it a name you like, and publish it on the app stores. That’s why we built AppMySite, to let users create apps without coding.
Besides the fee to purchase our license, you don’t need to pay anything extra to AppMySite. There are certain features available as add-ons, but they are additional features, not necessary for publishing your app.
You would need to pay to create a Google and Apple developer account. These are mandatory to submit your app to the app stores. You’re required to pay a one-time fee of $25 for Google Play, and an annual fee of $99 for an Apple App Store Connect account.
1. What apps that were built through AppMySite that I can check out? 2. can I charge for the app I build?
Q: Trying to find the use in this.
I purchased tier 5 and later downgraded to tier 3 after noticing I still had to pay additional if I wanted the apps to be published to Apple & Google Store. The apps do not function independently. I thought converting the website into an app would take the current structure and do just that, convert it. Not me still having to go in and design it. There's a weird logo still present, even though it's supposed to be removed. Tell me how this is different from me having clients to add the website icon to their homescreen and easily access the website that way? I'm trying to understand the benefit if the app is still going to be linked to a marketplace.
Just to clarify – you don’t need to pay AppMySite anything extra to publish on Google Play and Apple App Stores. You are required to publish these apps with your own Google Play Console and App Store Connect account. There is a fee associated with this, but this is paid directly to the app stores, not AppMySite.
You have the option of buying the Upload to App Stores add-on to let our team publish the app for you – but this is an optional service, and you can always complete the process on your own without buying the add-on. If you need help, you can refer to our knowledge base (https://support.appmysite.com) or log a ticket with our support team. We’re always ready to assist customers with app submission issues.
We currently have four products –
1. WordPress - Convert WordPress websites into apps 2. WooCommerce - Convert Woo stores into apps 3. Web to app – Convert any website into an app 4. Custom app - Build an app without a website
The main value of converting your existing website into an app is visibility. Customers are more connected to apps than browsers – app session times confirm as much. The app you build on AppMySite is a native app build– which means its optimized for performance on mobile. If you want a medium with higher retention and engagement with customers, apps are a great option.
