I am finishing up my doctorate, and have to read a lot of unfamiliar material. I have been using Notebook LM, which is good, to make podcasts in order to get my head around unfamiliar content. I was wondering how BeFreed would differ and decided to give it a try. I am sold! The basic difference is that you upload content to Notebook LM to generate podcasts, videos, mind maps, etc., which is very helpful. With BeFreed, you simply enter a prompt, and the app finds source material for you and generates an audio podcast. While Notebook LM can also find source material and generate podcasts, I find the process in BeFreed to be more streamlined. Additionally, BeFreed keeps a record of, in my case, academic source material that can be used later. While both programs are beneficial, I have found myself using BeFreed more, primarily because everything is done within the mobile app, which is particularly handy when traveling. There are far more uses for BeFreed than described here, but I haven’t had the need, so I can’t comment just yet. I will say, if the quality of the other uses is anywhere close to the podcasts I have been listening to, my time with BeFreed will likely increase even more.

I really like the program; I have already tested it for around one month, and I feel that it's an amazing gem. It works so well because I can use AI to create my own topics, and the voices from 11 voices are amazing. I'm hoping to have new, more 11 voices pretty soon and to have the ability to download my creations, but I really love them. Thank you.

Be freed has become my daily app for audio books tools.
It's now a week since I bought it on appsumo LTD. It does an excellent book review and deep dive summary.
What I like the most is the way you put your text and come with an audio that you can listen on the go.

Very poor experience here with this product. And no customer support. The main problem is that when you create an account and then download the app clicking on the Sign In button on the app takes you to what looks like a new user profile creation page. So you can't link in to the deal. Deleting the app and trying again doesn't work. They should focus on making this version of the app work before trying to develop new features. Maybe they should make adaptive flashcards on how to log in. Both I and AppSumo support (who, once again, are super helpful) have emailed several times since 1 May but to no avail.

I recently purchased a lifetime license for Befreed.ai, but the customer support has been completely nonexistent.

I have reached out multiple times through their official email and even joined their Discord to seek assistance, but I have received absolutely zero response. It is incredibly frustrating to be completely ignored after paying for a product.

What worries me the most is that while they are still actively selling this product on AppSumo and collecting money from new buyers, they are already neglecting their existing users. This behavior strongly suggests they might just be looking for a quick cash grab before abandoning the project entirely (a classic rug pull).

If they can't even provide basic support right now while they are actively marketing the tool, I cannot imagine what will happen after AppSumo’s 12-month support guarantee period ends. They will likely just shut down the servers and disappear.

To potential buyers: Proceed with extreme caution.
To the Befreed.ai team: If you want to prove this is a legitimate business, start responding to your support tickets and Discord messages immediately.
