One of My Go-To Book Summary Apps
Love the app! The recent updates have made it even more robust, and it has quickly become one of my go-to apps for listening to multiple book summaries.
I especially love the variety of voice options, ranging from podcast-style conversations to influencer-style voices that explain the content to you in a more engaging way. The ability to create a personalized listening style is another great touch.
I also really like that you can chat with the AI about the summaries and generate AI notes based on what you’ve learned. One standout feature for me is the amount of community content available. Being able to share with and learn from other users adds something that I haven’t seen done as well in many other book summary apps.
I do have a couple of suggestions. I’d love the ability to chat with the AI through text while a summary is playing, so you wouldn’t have to stop listening just to ask a quick question or get clarification on something you just heard.
I’d also love to see more interactive learning features, particularly quizzes or knowledge checks that help reinforce the information after each chapter or summary. I think this would make it much easier to retain what you’ve learned. This would be especially helpful for someone like me who can have a shorter attention span at times, as I’ve occasionally found myself replaying a chapter because I realized I didn’t retain everything the first time.
Bottom line: I highly recommend it! It’s well worth the price, especially considering how many features it offers that help it stand out in the book summary app category. There’s a lot here beyond simply listening to summaries, and I’m excited to see where they take the app next.

A very stable and professional tool, although with room for improvement.
While the application has points to polish, especially regarding the Spanish voices, I consider it one of the best options on the current market. Although direct competitors exist, for me, this one stands out from the majority. I wouldn't say it's the absolute number one, as there are a couple of alternatives that still surpass it, but their prices are considerably higher.
I believe Beatriz has all the potential to become the best, as long as they continue working on updates and manage to make the audio and podcast quality even more natural. Because, although the current results are very good, they still seem somewhat generic.
For this reason, I give it four stars, trusting that they will continue to evolve. Finally, I want to thank them for creating such a complete product, in which the effort, care, and dedication invested are evident.

Wow!
Seriously I haven’t even explored this app fully yet but from using it the last few days I am so impressed with all the different options you can choose that help you learn exactly the way it suits you. I love audiobooks and learning in general but BeFreed is on a different level from any other learning app I have used.
I like how it gives you options to save the parts that stand out to you by pressing the part of the transcript and saving it as a highlight or flash cards. You can create your own tailored learning plan and individual lessons. I get bored easily but this app has kept me engaged and bringing back my love for learning as I thought I lost my concentration with it all for a while.
I love how you can choose from different voices to have it presented to you like a podcast and the transcript is read out to you and highlighted in real time as the presenters speak. This makes it ultra engaging and can actually improve your concentration which is great for all the doom scrollers!
So glad I made the purchase and I hope BeFreed sticks around.
I recommend anyone reading these reviews to purchase it if it comes back to AppSumo as you are clearly interested to read this far and will be very happy with your purchase. Great investment!

So Glad I Purchased This!
I am finishing up my doctorate, and have to read a lot of unfamiliar material. I have been using Notebook LM, which is good, to make podcasts in order to get my head around unfamiliar content. I was wondering how BeFreed would differ and decided to give it a try. I am sold! The basic difference is that you upload content to Notebook LM to generate podcasts, videos, mind maps, etc., which is very helpful. With BeFreed, you simply enter a prompt, and the app finds source material for you and generates an audio podcast. While Notebook LM can also find source material and generate podcasts, I find the process in BeFreed to be more streamlined. Additionally, BeFreed keeps a record of, in my case, academic source material that can be used later. While both programs are beneficial, I have found myself using BeFreed more, primarily because everything is done within the mobile app, which is particularly handy when traveling. There are far more uses for BeFreed than described here, but I haven’t had the need, so I can’t comment just yet. I will say, if the quality of the other uses is anywhere close to the podcasts I have been listening to, my time with BeFreed will likely increase even more.

Awesome program.
I really like the program; I have already tested it for around one month, and I feel that it's an amazing gem. It works so well because I can use AI to create my own topics, and the voices from 11 voices are amazing. I'm hoping to have new, more 11 voices pretty soon and to have the ability to download my creations, but I really love them. Thank you.
