Q: Security of email and portal links

Hello. From what I understand in the email and portal modes for file sharing one sends a link to the recipient by email, sms, whatsapp etc., even if one wanted to password protect such a link or use an OTP, the password or the OTP would also have to be communicated in a similar way, if such a link or password or OTP gets intercepted (say the recipient's email, phone or whatsapp got hacked) how can Quantum Encryption protect my file? As I understand it Quantum Encryption seems to protect my Blaze Quantum account and files that are stored on it, and it seems to protect the Workspace mode for file sharing, for other modes it does not seem to offer additional protection. Is my understanding correct? Please let me know. Thank you.

A: Hi, Thank you for your inquiry.
For the highest level of security when sharing files within Blaze Quantum, we strongly recommend that both the sender and the recipient hold registered Blaze accounts (either free or paid tiers). When both parties are active account holders, Blaze Quantum seamlessly manages all Quantum-safe, end-to-end encryption. Please note that both Workspace and Email modes provide comprehensive security, provided all participating users have a Blaze account.

If you are sharing data via a direct link, the link itself contains the information necessary to grant access. To ensure your data remains completely secure—even in the event that a link is compromised—we highly advise enabling both OTP and password protection.
