Q: why the drive does not match the transfer size in t1 and t2 ?

surely the drive must be at least the amount of the transfer ? ( tier 1 and 2 )

for tier 2 how can we extend a 200GB transfer (long term storage ) if our drive is only 100GB ??

thanks

A: Great question! BLAZE Transfer and BLAZE Drive serve different purposes, so the limits are independent of each other.
Transfer (200 GB on Tier 2) is the cumulative volume of files sent and received. Files expire automatically, freeing up that quota over time.
Drive (100 GB on Tier 2) is for permanent storage. Long-term Storage only comes into play if you want to keep a transfer file beyond 30 days — in that case, it draws from your Drive storage. It's entirely optional, so if you don't need extended retention, your Drive storage remains separate and unaffected.

If you have Tier 1, and want to keep the file for more than 30 days, are you able to move a file you download into Blaze Drive and keep it for as long as you want?

Yes! You can save files directly from BLAZE Transfer to your BLAZE Drive, where they will be stored permanently without any expiry.
