Q: Can we at least have a google sheets and zapier integration?

I mean, like when we add a client to bloo, the details for that client automatically gets added to a google sheets. This is really important.

I like your app so far, but I think most of us need a more developed discussion part. Something like Hive does (and they're great at it, so check the way they handle team and private chat). Are you going to include private direct messages to other team members?

Q: Hi, Are you planning an invoice/proposal solution with integrated payment?

The only tools I found that have this are Suitedash and Plutio.
I love your UI but as a Freelancer, an all in one tool would be perfect.

Q: I just bought it and I added two companies.

Only one is unlimited.

This is very misleading and I feel pretty miffed about it.

I added my first name as the first company (therefore locking in my URL) believing I'd be able to make another company for my clients to use.

But now, that second one I made says "trial". What's the point of being able to add and switch companies in the upper left corner? You can have 10 companies but 9 of them will be trial only and only 1 is LTD.

Considering you can have unlimited projects anyway, why not unlimited companies? Or more than one?

My plan of making a bloo URL for me and a bloo URL for my company is completely destroyed. I can't use this for clients now...Isn't that the whole point?

And the solution of one company URL but with personal, client 1, client 2, etc mixed in is not good. What if I operate two different companies in two different fields? This just makes no sense...

Right now, we don't have custom domains for Bloo unfortunately, however we do give you the choice of domain within Bloo. i.e.:

https://app.bloo.io/company/[your-custom-company-url]/projects

With regards to Spanish translation, we're kicking this off next week and we hope to have it under review towards the end of the week, and then live within this month!

You can for sure keep your files in Dropbox and just share the links within Bloo, but there is no official linking mechanism between Bloo and Dropbox.

Thanks for your purchase!

With regards to how many client accounts per code. Right now, that's limited to the number of accounts in your license tier, but we are working to completely remove that limit so only team members will count against your limits.

The restrictions for clients is that they cannot create new projects, and we also have comment-only and view-only access, which are pretty straightforward.

Q: Couple of questions related to tasks/todos: 1.

Do you support code syntax/blocks (eg code highlighting with backticks) in comments and descriptions? As a web development agency this is quite important for us to be able to embed code snippets.
2. Are task/card cover images selectable (the image that is shown as a preview for the task in the kanban view).
3. Can comments be edited by the user? For example, I add a comment to a task and then want to make changes to this (typos, etc).

Thanks for your questions, please see below:

Couple of questions related to tasks/todos:

1. No code syntax/blocks support yet, but we're going to implementing a new editor next year that includes that + real time collaborative editing as well.
2. Yes, task/card cover images are selectable. We pick the first image that is uploaded to the description on the left hand side of the card.
3. Comments cannot be edited. We thought about this a lot, and we wanted Bloo to be the one source of truth. Eventually, we will make it editable and then show the changes to the comments if someone wants to dig in and review the changes.

1. Does this mean there is no encryption while traveling to the servers?
2. Does this mean there is no encryption on the servers and my data can be read when not traveling?
3. Can my data be imported to Bloo from Trello?

Your data is encrypted both when it is sent and received by the server.

We also use Encryption at Rest to encrypt your data when it is not in transit.

We don't yet have a Trello Import :(

Q: Hi!

1) I read about how you use "AWS Securely", but talking about that, do you encrypt our data before it goes to AWS? if so, what encryption are you using?

2) I am all in for the keyless login, but it can be a pain sometimes and it creates A LOT of emails... Are you planning to have passwords? or at least improve the keyless login?

3) I read in your roadmap about archiving a todo, awesome, what about archiving a whole list? Is it planned as well?

4) Any plans on grouping projects in a folder/group to keep things organized a bit?

5) So with your upcoming permission manager feature, will permissions be based on projects or on companies? Some clients I wanna make their access super restrict while other not, so I would like to know how flexible things will be for me when managing permissions...

6) I tested Bloo.io HEAVILY in the past week, I love it, I am all in for it, BUT, there were too too many emails going to my client which I hated, I am okay with not having white-label as long as Bloo is not annoying my clients with tips and tricks and on-boarding emails... Some clients are just ANNOYED by this kind of emails and I will be using Bloo to STOP the back & forth emails with my clients, So what's the point if Bloo sends more of them anyway... so, are you considering the option to have us control what our clients would receive and what not? Please?

7) When I add a new todo to a list, it gets at the bottom, usually, my workflow is adding the first things first so I want new todos to be at the TOP of the list instead of going all the way to the bottom; is there a way to fix this?

I used many PM tools before, I can't express how thankful I am for finding Bloo.io, THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks!

1. Yes, your connection with Bloo is encrypted and we use Encryption at Rest on AWS. If you want more details, send me an email at help@bloo.io - thanks!
2. Yes, we are exploring passwords as an option or perhaps Google Authenticator. Passwords alone however is not something we will do, as it's too risky (most people reuse passwords on dozens of different websites!)
3. We didn't consider this, but will review and discuss with my team next week!
4. Hehe, not before AppSumo but now we have had a huge amount of requests for this! We are studying this atm.
5. The permissions will still be per-project, but you'll be able to heavily customise what particular user group or individual users can do. I run a client agency and so I know that this can be annoying - we will get this fixed if that's an issue.
7. This is not the expected behaviour. New todos should be at the top. Can you take a quick video and send to help@bloo.io ? We will review and see the issue.

Q: I purchased it and tried it.

It's impressive but is it good enough to stop SmartTasks?

The UI/UX is to die for! It's beautiful!!!

What I really miss is:
1. CNAME/Whitelabel features
2. The ability to move project tasks to other project boards
3. Analytics to gain insights
4. Workload and portfolio overview
5. Nesting in Tasks; right now it's Project -> Task -> Subtask (the end).

It's a pleasure to work in this tool (even if I did for only an hour max) and the automation is awesome! (plz add the ability to push a card's data by webhook, this would be a gamechanger IMHO).

🤯 🤯 🤯 🤯 Im not sure what to do... go with Bloo or SmartTask?

To answer your questions

2. You can move project tasks to other project board by selecting the three dots on the task you want to move, and simply select your other project board.
3. Feature is not available yet for this!
4. You can see your work/tasks on Calendar right under your Todos.
5. Unfortunately, we don’t have that available but for sure it interesting for us to look into!

Q: I have two/three questions.

1a. Generally speaking how difficult is it for a client to learn how to use the system?
I'm asking because I want to know if there is a high chance that I'll have to personally teach them how to use the entire system. I'm asking about the average client, not someone who is "technologically challenged".

2a. If I'm using bloo as a CRM+sales pipline is it possible to see the value of the leads in each stage of the pipeline? As an example if I have 20 leads in the followup stage, and I'm charging $2000 per client will the $40,000 be automatically calculated and shown on the screen for that stage?

2b. If the answer is no, is it on your roadmap?

A: Hey there!

1. In our experience using Bloo for our clients over at www.mäd.com, they just get it. We've never had to really do any training. We normally just give them a 3-4 minute tour to explain the project setup and then they can continue by themselves. And we're talking about a lot of clients in frontier economies, so often the client teams are not the most tech savvy either!
2.There's not a way to do that yet, but it is something we want to be able to achieve. It's not yet on a published roadmap, but we are for sure considering it!

Changing color has been requested a fair bit, so we are looking into this to see if we can make it work.

You can already add your company logo, simply go to your avatar on the top right and click into Company settings, you'll then see the option.

We're also going to be having a new text editor next year that gives a lot more customisation options with the text such as highlighting, code syntax recognition, etc.

Q: Hi, Your product looks great!

On thing I've been missing with most tools (including Plutio that I've heavily invested in) is task dependencies. And one's that can combine with the Gannt chart. Basically when you work with teams often a person is waiting for someone to be able to start his work. To be able to set these dependencies and easily view them and see how they affect the timeline in the Gannt chart.

See how Beesbusy handles Gannt charts and dependencies. https://appsumo.com/beesbusy/ - they have it, but your product looks more well designed and clean.

Is this coming, and if yes when?

Tools like Plutio (also on AppSumo) promised task dependencies years ago but didn't deliver, and without it, it is not good for managing complex projects..

Also can't seen to edit comments on "discussion" board once posted.

Are you planning to update to allow links to files and comment editing?
Also it would be nice to share a link to a doc, image uploaded to "file" section to clients or social media.

Is it possible or planned to automatically apply descriptions & checklists to cards when they are moved into a card?

In Trello this is possible to buttler bot.
This is helpful for me to automate & outsource certain tasks. This is the only thing that's missing for me right now and hope there is this option! :)

Unfortunately, we don't have an option to automatically apply descriptions & checklists to cards. However, there's an option available for you to copy a todo, and everything on the card will automatically be applied!
