Q: Hello, Is it possible to change the cname once set?
And, in agency, can we set several cnames for different brands?
Thanks!

May 14, 2024A: Hello, thank you for your question. Yes it is possible to change your CNAME once set. Inside of the agency settings there is the ability to simply disconnect the domain you set up and connect a different one. For more information on how to set this up, we have a tutorial article that may be able to help you further as well: https://help.brandbay.io/article/Me4jxxwaJpb-Connecting-Your-Custom-Domain.
With this, the cname is account-wide for the agency whitelabel settings so it is structured like it would be for many agencies where there are multiple clients all being managed under one organization. Hope this helps :)
Thanks for reply.
It helps but that's quite sad there is not a cname for each brand, which would have made sense because all brands will share their link as media kit...
Couldn't you imagine add this in Tier 3 or Tier 4?
I would be interested if yes.
Thanks Danielle!
Hello Heavn, you actually can embed your client's brands on their domains by using our brand-kit embedding feature. Rather than using CNAME to point a whole sub-domain over, you can simply take the brand's or collection's embed code and put it on a page on their site so that they can access it. Since BrandBay offers password protection features as well, you can secure it too if needed!
Here is an article on how to get the brand's embed code: https://help.brandbay.io/article/MGz3WxCrJpb-Your-Exportable-Brand-Kit
