I purchased Tier 6 and overall I’m happy with Brilliant Directories.

Strengths

- Flexible platform with a solid feature set and good starting templates for rapid setup
- Good documentation
- Smooth integrations with Google services and Stripe, which helped speed up setup

Things to be aware of

- Some features I had expected to be able to setup, such as variable lead pricing or issuing credits, don't appear to be included in the AppSumo deal and require separate monthly plans

- For an Australian-based audience, performance testing from Australia is showing low Lighthouse performance scores, mainly due to initial server response time.

I’m still in the setup phase and haven’t fully launched yet, but overall it feels like a capable and flexible platform with a strong foundation for directory-based businesses. I'll reach out to support regarding the Australian webpage performance concerns.

I signed up for Brilliant Directories after seeing so much consistent feedback from other users who are running membership-based communities, particularly those offering classes, resources and gated content - all of which was important to me. What stood out was having everything in one place — member management, payments, content access and communication — without needing to stitch together multiple tools or plugins (we've all been there!). The scalability and support gave me confidence to commit to BD early, even before fully building out exactly where I was heading. I’m just starting my membership community and can’t wait to see where we can take it from here.

Bought this LTD level 5 as part of the growth strategy for my main business. It is one of the best, if not the best, LTD I have bought.
The video training content is simple and split into categories rather than one long video making the set up of the site easy. If you get stuck there is always the help bot that is the best I have encountered as is the on site editor that I found very helpful for editing the site in reat time.

If you are tech savvy, which I am not, you could set up a directory site in no time at all.
The only thing I would have wanted is the deal to have multiple sites to build a portfolio of directories. Or be able to add further sites at a later stage at the LTD prices.

I have bought many deals at lower levels as it was it was what I needed at the time only to find that after growing my business I needed more tiers at a later date. I have then replaced the original LTD with another LTD deal that offers the number of seats/licences I need for new staff. Maybe this is something for appsumo to build into deals so that members dont have to look for replacement app at a later date and discard the original. Hope that makes sense.

It's takes a bit of time to get started. But overall, BD comes with a lot of features, and once you know where everything is, it's working great.

Brilliant Directories gives you real structure without boxing you in. It’s flexible enough to support serious use cases (memberships, directories, ecosystems) without requiring a developer for every small change. The admin dashboard is straightforward, features are clearly thought through, and the platform actually scales as your idea grows.

It’s not a “toy” directory builder—it’s a legit foundation for building something long-term. Solid value for the price.
