I don't know how to feel about this tool

I mean it does what it says it does. I tested it and it works great - a little slow on the scraping side of things but I don't think that's a big issue for me.

Even the API works, I managed to link it to my n8n workflow and I was able to trigger the BrowserAct workflow from there. I would prefer that I can schedule the workflow from inside BrowserAct instead and just send the output to an n8n webhook but that's probably a future iteration. For now, my n8n workflow will have to trigger BrowserAct and fetch the data when it completes.

I'm still on the fence about whether to keep this deal or initiate a refund. And the only reason for this is the credits. I already selfhost both n8n and ChangeDetection on my home server - basically ChangeDetection is what I use in place of BrowserAct. In this case I can run as much tasks as I need as long as my home server can handle it, I don't have to worry about credits. But the one thing I don't like about my current setup is that ChangeDetection doesn't support AI in terms of knowing what data to extract. I have to manually select the HTML elements or provide XPath selectors etc and when the web page structure changes, I have to modify my selectors as well - it's very brittle. The one thing I really liked about BrowserAct is that AI takes care of determining what data to extract. I just tell it what I need from the page and it does it for me without me having to specify any selectors.

I created a very simple workflow in BrowserAct (3 steps only):
- Visit a URL
- Extract Data
- Output Data (as JSON)

When this workflow finishes, it uses 15 credits only (I got the tier 3 with 90,000 credits every month). This looks fine and looks very cheap. However, I need to run this workflow every 3 minutes every day. If you do the calculations, this will total to about 216,000 credits every month. So a simple workflow that I have will run my credits dry simply because I need to run it very frequently.

The reason I am still on the fence is because maybe I could just use BrowserAct for those scraping needs where I don't have to run the workflows very frequently - I can use other tools for those. I really like being able to just tell AI what to extract and be done with it. Maybe I can build a tool like BrowserAct for myself since I'm a developer too, it doesn't seem that complicated.

Like Magic!

This is by far the quickest and simplest scraping experience I've ever had.
Setting up the scraping required minimal skills, which is a rare find. The scraping flow functioned perfectly on my first attempt.
I do have some concerns about the security of my credentials and will need to investigate that further.
Initially, I purchased a Tier 1 plan with a healthy dose of skepticism just for testing, but I’m upgrading now. So far, I've found the credits to be quite generous.
Easy 5 Tacos from me. But will test further.

BrowserAct is a promising product but...

Hello,

I must say that BrowserAct is a promising product, and I like it. I will extend its review in the near future.

This is a must-have if you want to deal with captchas and extract data from websites easily.
The platform is in the active process of improvements and most of the time gives good results. Sadly, the outputs are not always as expected. I assume that this is because AI does not always provide the same answer, although the same prompt is in use. Sometimes the output format differs, and other times the answer is completely useless. But I assume this will be improved over time.

----

Regarding the Dealify situation descrived here: https://appsumo.com/s/1yu3icd/ , I purchased RemoteSpace Tier 3, and my experience was a different one:

1. I received an email offering me a refund or a migration to BrowserAct.
2. I requested support in BrowserAct's and RemoteSpace's Discord servers regarding this situation in order to know the conditions of the migration.
The terms I was offered were the following:

"For the regular tiers, the credits are monthly cumulative:
Tier 1 = 10,000 credits/month
Tier 2 = 20,000 credits/month
Tier 3 = 30,000 credits/month"

3. I accepted the migration and provided the email address of my BrowserAct account. The issue is that the migration was never processed; my BrowserAct account remained as a free one until I upgraded it thanks to this AppSumo promotion.

I must say that I received an additional email after the one offering me the BrowserAct migration or refund. That email told me that "RemoteSpace will not be processing direct refunds for purchases made through Dealify. Your compensation options, if any, will be handled according to Dealify's established policies." I must say that the Discord conversation was after I received this email, so I thought that I would receive the promised BrowserAct migration.

As I did not get the BrowserAct T3 migration nor the refund, I contacted them at the beginning of October, a few days ago, regarding this situation. I was told that I must request a refund through Dealify and that RemoteSpace does not promise refunds or migrations.

Summarizing, I got a 50% refund in credits through Dealify because the requested migration to BrowserAct was never processed and will never be processed for Dealify customers.

As you can see, Claire_BrowserAct, my experience is not the one you are describing. I understand that all of this may have been due to a misunderstanding and that some of the support staff may have gotten confused because of the complexity of the situation. I really wanted the migration to BrowserAct because I am an active user of it and it is a promising product, but I finally was forced to choose a 50% refund in credits that maybe I will never use. Hope you could address these issues better in the future. Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to share both your product feedback and your RemoteSpace migration experience. We genuinely appreciate your balanced perspective.

Regarding BrowserAct's Performance:
You've identified a key challenge—output consistency is a common limitation across all AI Agent technologies right now. This isn't unique to BrowserAct; it's an industry-wide challenge with LLM-based...

Concerns with long term use

I thoroughly tested this app, and it does work but I have a few concerns.
1) The creator is not responding to questions that show other startup apps that the creator was a part of are now defunt. Thats a serious concern - because you could be flushing money on this app.
2) It's so slow. Compared to other scaping systems, this takes forever to do a few tasks.
3) The credit usage is insane for anything that has more than 10 steps. One task for one record of mine which involved visitng 2 websites took up 480,000 credits - for 1 search.
4) The system seems to use browser-use.com for it's browser - and that does not have an unlimited plan... so how can this option be sustainable.

On #4, I would love to see the response from the creator.

I am returning it.

Thank you for taking the time to test BrowserAct thoroughly and share your detailed feedback. I'd like to address each of your concerns directly and transparently.

1. Regarding Previous Projects:
We've been actively responding to questions about RemoteSpace throughout this Q&A section. To be completely transparent:
- RemoteSpace was sold on third-party platforms (not AppSumo)
- When we shut it...

Finally

Finally a scraper that delivers. And I tried many of them! I’m still figuring out some stuff like integrations with n8n, but on Make.com I have my first two scrapers up and running from more complex dynamic JavaScript websites. I’ve tiered to the max as this is very valuable for my business.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this incredibly detailed and positive feedback!

It truly means a lot to us that you called it the "quickest and simplest scraping experience" you've ever had—that is absolutely our main goal. We put a lot of focus on making the setup effortless, so hearing that it "required minimal skills" and worked "perfectly on my first attempt" tells us we're on...
