I don’t write reviews very often, though I know I probably should. I generally reserve it for either the very bad or the very good.

This software falls in the latter category.

I bought this months ago and didn’t have the opportunity to use it until this past week where I sprung it on my artistic director and marketing director without warning. Despite being in their mid-to-late 70s, they grasped the tool near-instantly. This was specifically used as a review tool for our website.

Something important to note: my marketing director only uses her computer for reviewing, and my artistic director only uses his phone.

BugSmash worked fantastically on both platforms.

Seriously, this is the best review tool I’ve used in that it can handle not just web pages or PDFs, etc., but a plethora of things. I honestly wish I’d used it when it was still available and found how useful it is—I definitely would have upgraded! 😅

Key aspects of the tool that I loved the most:
* Comments are easy to leave.
* Replies to comments are both easy to leave AND are sent to the person being replied to via email so they know a response/reply was made.
* The file upload feature was invaluable! Rather than getting multiple emails of random images with them attempting to explain where each image should go, they were able to select an image or place on the screen and upload the file right there. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy (as they say)!
* The markup options that include arrows and not just boxes/circles was a welcome addition.
* For a website, being able to view all three viewport options and switch between them was a nice addition. It’s not perfect, of course, because every device is different, but was definitely a great help.

The only complaint I had was actually most likely a user error—my artistic director (who only uses his phone) left several blank comments where I assume he “fat-fingered” the screen but the comment somehow saved. Not a big deal by any stretch, just interrupted the flow a little.

Overall, this is my new favorite tool and I see so many applications for it in the future. Thank you BugSmash! Your 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮 are well-deserved, and I shall add in all the fixin’s, because tacos need guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese, and a dollop of sour cream to be complete. 😉

I recently signed up and tested the tool with 12 clients. Overall, the core features function. An aspect I dont like however, is the costs to access ai reviews, cname, api etc it very high feels like a way to suck out as much $ out from its users which Isnt a good look, hard to trust a tool with these tactics. They should have just integrated these in the tiers bundled in higher tiers.

In five minutes, I had this setup and working. It's flawless, and so easy to use!
I have tried many different competitor offerings, and they were either buggy or had horrible interfaces, or they were cost prohibitive. Thank you for making an affordable option that is easy to use and just works!

this amazing tool is a gem.
I use it as a teacher on different topics. I can review my student and they can answer me on pdf file or video...
At last I have one specific website but the support can only reply with email. I had just to add a bugsmash on my website and the support created a free account to answer and I receive the notification.
At last but not the least to share your comment you can introduce with a 5min video...

As a graphic designer and web designer, Bugsmash is without a doubt one of the best purchases I have ever made on AppSumo. It makes collecting feedback incredibly easy. Clients can clearly indicate exactly what needs to be changed, whether it is for websites, brochures or other design work.

For my clients, this workflow is just as convenient. They experience it as clear and professional, without the endless back-and-forth of emails or phone calls with countless questions. The ability to review revised versions is also a huge plus, as it allows clients to easily compare with earlier versions.

The team responds quickly to questions and minor bugs, which I truly appreciate. And as the saying goes, besides a good ship you also need a good captain. I am genuinely curious to see what Bugsmash has in store for us in the future.
