Hi... This is a real good replacement for Elfsight... But of course there are a few things... Which im sure this great team will fix fast - am I dreaming :)

I’m using your Instagram, google reviews, youtube videos etc, widgets for several agency clients, and while the design is great, I’m hitting some roadblocks regarding GDPR compliance (specifically using Consently - Appsumo, and Cookie Script).

Lack of Native Consent Support: Currently, the widget fires scripts and fetches data immediately. It would be a huge "pro" feature if the widget could detect consent state (like Google Consent Mode v2) or wait for a specific trigger before initiating data transfer. This is really a must.

Native Placeholders: Since we have to block the script until consent is given, the site is left with an empty gap. It would be amazing to have a native "Consent Placeholder" setting in your dashboard where we could add a custom Norwegian/local text and an icon that stays visible until the script is allowed to run.

These would make your widget much more attractive for the European market.

very difficult compared to other cookie/privacy policy tools. those have one script or a plugin.

Consently requires script for every policy.. and it's doesn't display correctly. it messes up with website formatting.

Still early in development seems like. can't expect much quality from BD these days..

Best to copy and paste than put the script.

I wanted to like Consently, I am not happy with my existing cookie solution and wanted something better. I had an issue and reached out to support, but after some problems with their chat window, we were able to communicate. My initial issue was resolved. I have, however, decided to claim a refund. Consently found a huge number of cookies, most unclassified. I just don't have the time or capacity to understand how to manage the number of unclassified cookies. My existing cookie solution is limited, but the website doesn't break when cookies are rejected and doesn't require deep understanding to make it work.

I have been using Consently on my website and it made cookie consent and privacy compliance much easier. Setup was simple and it started detecting cookies right away. I customized the banner to match my brand and generated my policies from the dashboard. It saves time and gives me peace of mind knowing everything is properly managed.
