I answered every question in the Policy Generator to create Terms and Conditions for our SaaS, and the output was unusable.

Some of what it produced:

- "We offer a [object Object]-day free trial" appears three times - a raw code error that made it into the legal text.
- Governing law, jurisdiction and the company's state of organization all read "United States," which isn't a legal jurisdiction.
- Many section headings are blank, including Amendment, Content Removal, Service Warranties and International Data Transfers, and a Data Processing Agreement link points to nothing.
- Two sections are both numbered 9, and the survival clause cites the wrong sections.

It would take longer to find and fix everything than to write the terms from scratch. For legal documents, a generator that fails like this is worse than none, because you can't trust what it left in.

I don't know how it does with Cookies or Privacy Policy because I stopped using it and refunded it after the T&C failures.

Constently has been great so far, very thorough compliance plugin and works well. Support has been great too, responsive and very friendly. Highly recommend!

I build WordPress sites for clients, most on theme.co's Pro theme with the Cornerstone builder. Consently's plugin conflicted with and errored out the builder. Every element threw a markup error when Consently was active. That's a dealbreaker. I'm in the builder daily.

Emailed support. Was expecting the usual "we'll pass it along." Al Amin replied the next day asking for screenshots. Himel came back with a workaround through Tag Manager. That didn't fit me or my clients since we run GA4 directly. I said so. Instead of leaving it there, they put it on the roadmap. Two days later it was in testing. Nine days after that, Himel emailed to say they'd added a data-exclude-paths attribute to the embed script. Dropped it in my child theme, builder works, banner works. Done.

I've bought a lot of deals on this site over the last decade. Support that listens, keeps you posted without being asked, and turns a bug report into a product change in under two weeks is rare. Taco worthy. Al Amin and Himel, thank you.

The product itself: easy setup, easy to customize the banner to match the site, clean and simple. No bloat, no gimmicks. Exactly what a consent tool should be.

One thing to know for other WordPress builder Sumolings: the exclusion attribute only works with the embed script, not the WordPress plugin (yet). I deployed via child theme. Super simple.

Installing Consently was easy—setup took only minutes, though checking my cookies took a little longer since I'm not as familiar with them. However, it handles GDPR rules without any headache, matches my site design perfectly, and doesn't slow down page load times.

Unlike other tools on market, Consently doesn't force price hikes based on page counts, making its pricing transparent. Plus, it deep scans third-party iFrames and hidden scripts and noot only cookies.

Considering how expensive privacy software usually is, getting this level of protection at this price is an absolute no-brainer. Highly recommended for any site owner!
