I run a small agency in Zurich and we were looking for a form builder we could use across client projects without paying per seat, per form, or per submission. Deftform turned out to be exactly that.

We currently use it for two things: course registrations and contact forms. Every submission is stored in Deftform, not just fired off as an email, that alone solved a problem we'd been living with for years. If a notification mail gets stuck in spam or never arrives, the entry is still there. Our client can open the dashboard, see every registration in one list, and export it as CSV or PDF for the participant list or invoicing. No more "did we miss an enquiry?"

The builder is genuinely quick. Multi-page forms, conditional logic, file uploads, e-signatures, 20+ field types — I had the first live form built in under 15 minutes. AI Builder works also perfectly!

The part that closed it for us: data sits on servers in Germany, uploads stay in the EU. For European clients, GDPR compliance isn't a nice-to-have, and being able to say that in a client meeting is worth real money.

Unlimited forms and responses, one payment, no per-form pricing creeping up as we add clients. For an agency, that's the whole value proposition.

I’m absolute loving Deftform. The AI form builder makes creating complete lead forms virtually instantaneous—what used to take 10-15 minutes now takes seconds.

​The embed flexibility is where it really shines for me. I can embed the exact same form directly on a website and inside interactive slide-out drawers/widgets without any display glitches. Combined with custom webhooks to fire instant SMS and email alerts via Make/Albato, it's become an essential part of my stack.

One major wishlist feature for future updates i would love to see would be Dynamic Calculation / Instant Estimate fields. Allowing live formula calculations based on user selections (like estimating a ballpark quote before submission) would make this an absolute powerhouse for local service lead generation.

I have been using Deftform, and I am absolutely loving the experience so far. Honestly, I really don't understand some of the overly critical and discouraging comments here. The massive amount of hard work and high-quality development put into this deal is incredibly clear, and the founders deserve a lot of credit for it.

The platform is lightning-fast and features a highly modern, incredibly clean UI. Setting up my custom domain was a breeze, and the level of customization available inside the platform is outstanding—you can tailor everything exactly to your needs without it feeling cluttered.

What really seals the deal for me is how smoothly it integrates with external tools like Pabbly Connect and Google Sheets. It makes automating data and workflows completely seamless.

To the development team: keep your heads up and don't let the negative comments bring down your morale! You are building an exceptional tool with a very bright future. Keep up the fantastic work!

The hidden datafield allows ultimate flexibility when integrating my app with deftform (so i know which html page the client comes from).
The widget that is being integrated is also mobile friendly.
Then there's the file upload :D.

Wow I've saved myself a lot of time. Also I'll be using this a lot since serving another customer (organization) comes at a cheap one time addon.

First, I'll say that the form builder itself isn't bad. I was able to create my forms and I felt that this was a promising product. However, there are some bugs and you won't get any help or support in any kind of timely fashion. My header images don't display because the link they use to serve the uploaded image returns a SSL error in browser. I contacted support who told me I was wrong about the SSL error and that it was somehow using the wrong url. They supplied two urls--the wrong one and the supposed right one (NOTE: as the user, I have no control over those urls. They're inserted by the system). Both URLs shared by support return insecure warnings in browser with a SSL error. I've replied twice and have heard nothing further from support in 2 days. I have doubts that this product will be stable long term and if it isn't, don't count on support helping you out. Ultimately, I'll end up paying more for another product that I can actually rely on.
