Q: ECommerce use case

For eCommerce, can this product display products and prices on WhatsApp?

Like how can I run an eCommerce business using this product in WhatsApp, with payment gateway integration. is this possible?
and if not possible, what could be closest setup to achieve this?

A: Hey, good question.

There's no native WhatsApp catalog or product browser built into the platform, and we don't process checkout inside the WhatsApp thread itself. WhatsApp's own "Shop / Catalog" feature is a Meta-side setup you configure on your Business profile in WhatsApp Manager, separate from any messaging tool. Same with payments inside WhatsApp, that's a Meta + country-restricted feature, not something any third-party tool unlocks.

Also worth being upfront about: the AI agent's replies are text only today. It can read images a customer sends in (so a customer can send a photo and the bot understands it), but the bot itself can't attach product photos to its replies yet. That's on the roadmap and ranked high. Images can be sent manually from the inbox by you or your team, and outbound campaign templates can include a media header, so product photos can still go out, just not from the bot mid-conversation.

What people actually run for an ecommerce setup with us looks like this:

1. The AI agent is the salesperson. You feed it your catalog, prices, variants, shipping rules, and policies. When a customer asks "do you have X" or "what's the price of Y", it answers, handles objections, suggests alternatives, upsells.

2. For visuals, yousend a link to the product page (which has the photos) . For one-off cases the bot can flag the chat so your team drops in and sends the photo manually.

3. For payment, the bot sends a checkout link. Stripe Payment Link, a Shopify / Woo / whatever cart link, Mollie, PayPal, whatever you already use. Customer taps, pays in the browser, comes back. The gateway you already have does the actual payment, we just hand the customer to it.

4. For tying it into your real store, the AI has tool-calling and webhooks. You can wire it to Shopify / Woo / Stripe / Sheets / Airtable, so the bot can pull live stock, generate a one-off checkout link per customer, create an order, attach a discount code, trigger shipping, etc.

5. Order updates, shipping notifications, abandoned-cart nudges go out as outbound campaigns or templates (with media headers and buttons).

So short version: full ecommerce inside WhatsApp messages, no. AI agent that sells your catalog over WhatsApp via text + links and hands the customer to your existing checkout, yes, and that's the pattern ecom users on the platform run today. Bot-side image replies are coming but not live yet.
