As someone who runs websites and email marketing campaigns, Email List Validation has saved me from sending campaigns to poor-quality lists. It's reliable, quick, and has helped me improve deliverability and protect sender reputation which is critical for small businesses working hard to build trust with their audiences. It's one of those "must-do" steps that too many people skip, but this app makes it simple. I run my lists and my clients list through this and its very easy to use - totally recommend it!

This is an example of the terrible vapor-ware AppSumo continues to push to users despite promises to the contrary.

The solution is broken and support disappeared. Now when you visit their website the "contact" link is broken. There's no way to reach this vendor for support.

Very disappointed in AppSumo for not doing a better job of vetting this vendor.

I wanted to like Email List Validation, but after extensive testing, I can confidently say their API simply does not work as advertised, and their support team is completely unhelpful. If you’re looking for a reliable email verification service with an actual working API, look elsewhere.

The API Doesn't Work

The biggest issue? The API fails to verify emails that their own web-based tool can validate. Here’s what I experienced:

✅ Emails entered manually on their website return valid results.
❌ The same emails, when checked via their API, return "unknown" status, meaning the API cannot determine if the email is valid or invalid.
❌ Switching from Quick Mode to Power Mode (which supposedly offers deeper verification) makes no difference—both return "unknown."

This means their API is fundamentally broken. If their online tool can verify an email but the API cannot, what’s the point of the API? If I have to manually check emails through their website, why would I pay for an automated verification service?

Customer Support is Non-Existent

When an API fails, you expect some level of customer support to help troubleshoot. Not with this company.

I reached out to support multiple times and received generic, copy-paste responses that did not address my issue.

When I provided proof that the web tool works but the API doesn’t, they ignored my messages.
Instead of troubleshooting the issue or escalating my request, they stopped responding altogether.

No documentation updates, no technical assistance—just radio silence.
If you’re running a business and need timely, reliable email validation, this company will leave you hanging. If something goes wrong, you’re on your own.

Final Verdict: Stay Away
This company over-promises and under-delivers. If you need an email verification API for real-world applications, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Bad support, website breaks down, not a great experience…

Hi, I purchased a lifetime subscription to verify 1 million emails monthly from Appsummo for the app Email List validation! When I bought it, I used 10,000 email credits. After that, their site was down for a few days, and I could not log in. Now I have access to the website, but the credits left are only 800. They removed my 980K+ Email Credits without any reason. Why did this happen? I want my credit back or need a refund. The Screenshot and invoice are attached.

Do not bother with this tool. There's a reason it's still here on AS indefinitely. It's never worked correctly. Fails at every step like:
Upload file -- fails.
If file does get uploaded, output is horribly wrong. Compare it to any other email list validator and you'll see.

They don't care about the product. No updates in years.

Unfortunately, I can't get refund at this point but had max stacked it. Wish I didn't. Completely trash.

Every email I entered returned an "invalid" status, regardless of whether the email was correctly formatted or in regular use. This issue persisted across various domains and email formats, making it completely unreliable for my needs.

Pros:
User Interface: The interface is clean and easy to navigate.
Setup: The setup process was straightforward.

Cons:
Inaccurate Results: Every email tested returned as invalid, which defeats the purpose of an email validation tool.
Credits: My credits never reset yearly.

I cannot recommend this email validation tool. The inability to accurately validate emails renders it useless for anyone relying on accurate data. Save your time and money; look elsewhere for a reliable solution.

They initially offered a ton of free credits, only to later force users to start paying for it—a shady move by what feels like an unreliable company. To make matters worse, their support is nonexistent. The credits haven’t been refreshed since 2021, which is incredibly frustrating.

AppSumo should take responsibility and remove such products from their platform. It’s a total waste of time—don’t even bother with this!

BEWARE - you will not receive the service after 60 days of the refund period expires.

I've been using it for the first 60 days with minor issues, after 60 days passed the verifier just stopped working.

I’ve been emailing about this issue for weeks with no resolution. The service I purchased is no longer accessible, and I received the error: "THE USER NO LONGER EXISTS."

it sucks, support doesn't respond, half of the pages on their website are 404

all of the 3 email validations I submitted where returned with malformatted output.

Don't buy this tools, after 180 days they will not give you direct access to their tools.

Today I wrote AppSumo:
I purchased Tier4 for emaillistvalidation in Jan 2024.
I noticed a lot of downtime while using the API and started monitoring the site from April. Attached you will find around 399 checks with offline times. The tool and API is absolutely unusable and also provides partially incorrect results. This already damaged our business. Please take a look at the reviews on your portal. There are many very unhappy users. I would like to request a refund for Tier 4 and refer, among other things, to your one-year warranty for Plus members.
I will purchase REOON Verifier from you today and hope that you refund the amount for the really very poor tool Email List Validation and also remove it from your shop to protect all members, as this has already been demanded by users but has not happened.

BTW: Interesting that there was no reaction from emaillistvalidation on my original review and no reaction from support anyway...

The email validation results are often incorrect. The support is poor or non-existent. I had bought a large package because I needed a lot of validations, but I prefer to pay for emaillistverify.com because the results are much better and the API doesn't fail all the time. I purchased this and used it for a while, but suddenly my credits disappeared and my emails aren't processing. They seem to have deleted their support / help page.

I bought this software lifetime deal and could never get the emails lists to download with the results. They had a chatbot and I would use it and eventually they would email me the list. Now the chatbot is gone and there is no help button on the site anywhere. So, I cannot get what I paid for at all. Awful. Don't spend a dime on this. You will regret it.

Service is not working at the moment. When it worked it did almost nothing. It used to mark 90% of the emails wits some obscure tag and there is no explanation what it means. Would not touch with a barge pole again

I tried to get help and it was like pulling teeth. Absolutely terrible.

I bought 2 million annual credits on the deal. It worked decently for a while but now I upload lists of email addresses and it leaves 99% of them without a status. There also doesn't seem to be any support mechanism. Very disappointed: AppSumo should stop selling this service.

The solution doesn't inspire confidence to be honest. see below:

1. Sometimes it verifies the whole list , sometimes around half of it and other just 100
2. HubSpot integration is old style API that HubSpot moved away from long ago
3. The entire Help and Dev files are missing from the helpdesk site!

that leaves me wondering how good the verification is and that's after all the whole point of the solution.
