Q: Training Hedy - 2

Thanks Julian, helpful.

Just to clarify: does Hedy support, or plan to support, a deeper Knowledge Base / RAG layer beyond custom contexts?

Use case: upload/connect SOPs, playbooks, PDFs, Notion/Google Docs, client docs or workflows, attach them to a specific Topic/Context, and have Hedy dynamically retrieve the most relevant snippets during a live session to generate suggestions.

A few key questions:

1. Can Hedy ingest documents beyond the 20k-character context limit?
2. Can KBs be scoped per Topic/client?
3. Can Hedy use retrieved KB content in real-time suggestions?
4. Are sources/citations shown?
5. Is this possible today via API/webhooks/MCP, or is it on the roadmap?

This would be very valuable for consultants, agencies, coaches and sales teams.

A: Thanks for all the great questions!

File upload is something we are evaluating, but cannot commit to for the Pro product (this LTD) at this time due to the cost structure of running RAG. For now, pulling key information out of the documents and adding them as text context is the best option. Some users have ChatGPT/Claude handle that for you by connecting to our MCP, which allows those tools to manage contexts and topics.

20k character limit is the max at this time, so if needed I recommend having another LLM pull out the key information from your docs for Hedy.

You can have a unique context specifically for each topic, and that's what we highly recommend! This context is then indeed available to any Hedy functionality (including automatic suggestions).

Sources/citations are typically only referenced when the source is a prior conversation in the same topic.

Contexts and topic can be managed via API/MCP. More info here:
