Q: Storage limits / White Label features

1) If I sell music what is the storage limit for files/images? Do you host files? Do you have a music player to sample songs?
2) Can I sell this as a white label service for my clients? If so, do I need to setup the store for them and then addon the client as an employee with full access (to take over/build/manage) or can the client signup/purchase/create/manage on their own without my input?
3) If a client signs up do I have access to login to their store to provide support and help them manage their store or do they need to add me as an employee?
4) If a client needs support beyond my ability, do I need to add your support team Rep as an employee in order to view any setup issues or can the support be kept between us (you can login without the need to be added as an employee)?

A: Hi,

Great questions — answers in order:

1) Selling music — storage, hosting, and sampling

There are two different things here, so let me separate them:

Store media (product images, artwork, promo videos): hosted by us in the built-in media library and served over a global CDN. Images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF) and MP4 video are supported, with per-file limits (video up to 100 MB per file) rather than a small overall quota — a music catalog's artwork won't run into storage trouble.
The music files you sell (the deliverable the buyer downloads): we don't host these. Digital products support four delivery types — File (you host the file anywhere you like — S3, Backblaze, Dropbox, your own server — and we automatically email the buyer their download link after purchase), license Codes, Dynamic URL (your endpoint generates per-order content), and Service (manual fulfillment). For selling tracks and albums, the File type is the usual fit.
Sample player: there's no built-in "preview this track" player today, but it's very achievable on your product pages: an HTML5 audio player for preview clips can be added as a theme section — our Nova AI assistant can build it for you from a plain-English description, or it's a small job in the theme code editor. Happy to help you set this up when you get there.
2) White-label / selling to your clients

We don't currently offer a full white-label program — the storefronts your clients get are 100% their brand on their own domain with no LaunchMyStore branding visible to shoppers, but the admin dashboard itself is LaunchMyStore-branded.

The model that works well is client-owned: the client signs up, purchases their plan, and owns their account — they can do all of this entirely on their own without your input. They then add you as staff (see #3) so you can build and manage the store for them. This matters for a practical reason: order confirmations and account-level notifications go to the account owner, so the store should live under your client's email, not yours. If you join our partner/affiliate program, you get a tracked signup link and earn a share of the first year's billing for every client you bring — so you're compensated for the referral while the client keeps ownership of their own store.

3) Your access to a client's store

Yes — the client adds you under Settings → Staff, and you log in with your own credentials. There are three staff roles:

Admin — full access to every feature of the dashboard (everything except account ownership itself).
Manager — access to the whole store dashboard except payouts, account settings, and reports.
Staff — order and delivery features only.
For an agency building and managing the store, your client would invite you as Admin. So the flow for each new client is simply: they sign up via your link → they invite you as Admin staff → you build and manage.

4) Our support's access

No — you never need to add our support team as an employee. When you or your client opens a ticket, our support can review the store's configuration from our side (with the account owner's consent) to diagnose setup issues. Support stays between us, consumes no staff seat, and requires no changes to the store's team.

If you'd like, I can send over the partner program details — and when your first music store is underway, we'll gladly help wire up the preview player.

Hello, Thank you kindly for your reply. On tier 2 I am allowed 5 stores. I would like to create a store for a family member and they can manage it themself (while adding me as a member so that I can offer support)... since you suggest they signup themself... how would they signup under my 5 store limit... is there is special signup page for this? Or do I send an invite within the software?

Hi, let me give you the exact steps.

First, the key clarification: your family member does not "sign up" into your 5-store limit, and there's no special signup page. Your plan's store slots are used up by you creating the extra store from inside your own account. Then you give your family member access to run it by inviting them as a staff member

you don't change the store's email address for this.

Step 1 — Create the store (uses one of your 5 slots).
In your admin, use the store switcher at the top → Create/Add store. This new store sits under your account and counts as one of your five.

Step 2 — Invite your family member as an Administrator.
Switch into that new store → Settings → Staff → Add Staff. Enter:

their email
their name
Role: Administrator
Submit, and they'll receive an email invitation to set up their own login. Once they accept, they sign in with their own credentials and manage that store day-to-day.

(The Administrator role gives them full management access to that store. )Step 3 — Your support access is automatic.
You don't need to "add yourself" — because the store lives under your account, you're already the owner above it. You can switch into it anytime from your store switcher to help them, and you can adjust or remove their staff access whenever you like from the same Staff screen.

A couple of things to keep in mind, since it sits under your plan:

Billing/plan are yours — that's the point of using a slot; nothing for them to pay.
Because it's linked to your main account, keep your main account healthy — cancelling the plan or deleting your main store affects all stores under it.
