Q: Purchase Decision Questions

Hi, Thanks for your help with my last questions. Adjusting the PDF page size helped, but page breaks are still problematic when converting HTML to PDF.
Before purchasing, I have a few clarifications:

1. You mentioned it takes 3 credits to create a PDF. Can you confirm this is per file, not per page? If it’s per page, the pricing isn’t fair or justifiable. Very important.

2. Does converting an...

A: Hi Sye,

Happy to clarify — these are important questions.
1. PDF credit usage
Yes, the 3 credits are per PDF file, not per page.
Whether the PDF has 1 page or 100 pages, it still costs 3 credits total.
2. SVG to image
This isn’t supported. MarkupGo doesn’t produce SVG outputs, and image transformations only work on images generated by MarkupGo. We can’t convert or transform external SVGs or...

Q: The demo was extremely disappointing. Please tell me you can do better than this? See screenshot.

Hi, I was quite interested in your products, a little bit excited about what I could do using your product. So I tried to convert a HTML page with some CSS and it into a PDF. The output that I got was each small paragraph turned into a separate page. Please see the screenshot in the link below: https://prnt.sc/uuxqui8jL2um
There's no way to attach screenshots to appsumo otherwise I would've done...

A: Hi Sye,

Thanks for taking the time to explain this — and I completely understand why that output would be disappointing.

What you’re seeing isn’t a limitation of MarkupGo’s PDF engine, but rather how HTML/CSS pagination rules are being interpreted in your specific markup. By default, certain CSS properties (like display, margins, or page-break-* rules inherited from frameworks) can cause each...

Q: Quick Clarification on MarkupGo Credits Before Purchase

Hi there,
I’m very interested in MarkupGo for automating PDF and image generation, but the credit system is unclear. Could you clarify:

1. Does 1 credit = 1 PDF or 1 image? Or does it vary by file size/complexity?
2. Are there different credit costs for dynamic templates vs. simple conversions?
3. Do API calls (e.g., image transformations, previews) consume credits? If so, how many per action?
4....

A: Hi Sye,

Happy to clarify — here’s a simple breakdown of how credits work in MarkupGo:
1. Credit usage
• 1 PDF = 3 credits
• 1 image = 1 credit
This does not vary by file size, page count, or complexity.

2. Templates vs. simple conversions
There’s no difference in credit cost. Dynamic templates and simple conversions cost the same.

3. API calls & previews
Only the final render consumes...

Q: Tiers credit and what you say are different WHY?

You misleading the Sumolings as you sale different what you delivery.
I thought to buy in your app but I'm get confused when I read some of your answers.
1/ Your AS sales page says "CREDITS PER MOTH" but in your answers you say
2/ " For lifetime (AppSumo) credits, there is no monthly reset — they’re a one-time lifetime pool. Whatever you don’t use simply stays in your account. Nothing expires or resets each month."

They are absolutely different

A: Thanks for pointing this out, and sorry for the confusion.

That earlier response was a mistake. To clarify clearly and correctly:
For AppSumo (lifetime) plans, the credits are monthly credits and they reset at the start of each month. Unused credits do not roll over.

This matches what’s stated on the AppSumo deal page (“credits per month”). We understand how conflicting answers can be...

Q: Custom domain for paid customers?

I see in some comments that custom domain has been added for "paid customers". Can you clarify who this includes? Do you mean your monthly subscriptions or are they included with any of the appsumo tiers? After all, appsumo purchasers are also "paid customers".

Thanks.

A: Hi there,

Custom domains are available only for our monthly paid customers, not for AppSumo users. In the past, we offered custom domains as a separate add-on, but that option has been discontinued.
