A powerful backend for AI-assisted app development, with a team that keeps shipping
I am using NoCodeBackend to build a real apps including my latest one, a React CRM with customers, projects, estimates, payments, tasks, appointments, user access, audit history, files, and other operational workflows. This is much more than a small test project, and NoCodeBackend has helped me move considerably faster.
The generated REST APIs, authentication, database tools, MCP connection, documentation, snapshots, policies, and SQL export have saved me a great deal of backend setup work. Their AI database tool is especially impressive. It helped create and organize a large amount of the database structure much faster than I could have done manually.
I had a small integration hiccup while connecting NoCodeBackend with a frontend built through Greta. With help from ChatGPT, I was able to identify the configuration issue and correct it quickly. What impressed me was that the tools were available to inspect the schema, create a separate staging database, reproduce the production structure, test permissions, and verify the result safely.
I also tested the snapshot system with synthetic records. I created a snapshot, changed and deleted the test records, restored the database, and confirmed that the original values returned correctly. That gave me greater confidence in using the platform for a serious business application.
The team is constantly improving the product. Authentication roles, RLS controls, Supabase import, bulk APIs, snapshots, MCP support, and the improved help center show that they are listening and actively building.
The AI credit allowance is reasonable because each AI action can create a substantial amount of database and API structure. Still, I would love to see a small monthly credit refresh, especially for higher tiers. Another good option would be bring-your-own-key support for customers who use the AI tools frequently.
My feature wish list (Maybe I included some that are already supported or on the road map):
Native private file storage for images, contracts, PDFs, and other uploads, with signed URLs and access controls
Server-side functions or a controlled custom-code layer for complex business logic
Support for atomic multi-record transactions
More granular role-aware policies that can separately control read, create, update, and delete operations
A policy-testing screen that shows exactly what each authenticated role can do
One-click production-to-staging cloning for schema, policies, authentication settings, and optional synthetic fixtures
Visual schema comparisons, migration history, and rollback assistance
Clearer structured error responses for authentication, policies, constraints, and blocked SQL operations
Monthly AI credit refreshes or bring-your-own-key support
These are requests for the future, not reasons to reduce my rating at all. NoCodeBackend already provides such a strong value, the interface is easy to work with, and the pace of updates gives me confidence that it will keep improving. Keep up the good work!

Really great alternative
I wanted a cheaper alternative to supabase and decided to give this a try and it works great. I use Greta for most of my apps and I do admit, it was not an easy setup, but I did get it to work. I am hoping my next setup is smoother.
My only other grip is you cannot store photos. Not sure why. I rely heavily on photos being stored in my apps, so this is why I gave it 4 stars. I have to use a third party and setup an API which I never had to do with Supabase. While Cloudinary works, it is not saving money if I go through the free credits each month.

Jul 10, 2026Thank you for giving NoCodeBackend a try, and we're sorry it wasn't the experience you were hoping for.
Many users, including those using Greta, have been using NoCodeBackend successfully, so it's possible there was something specific in the setup. If you're open to it, we'd be happy to arrange a quick Zoom call with our technical team to better understand your use case and help get things...

Easy and beginner friendly
I’ve been using NocodeBackend for a while now, and it has saved me a lot of development time. Setting up databases and backend services is much faster compared to doing everything manually. The platform is easy to understand, even for smaller projects, and it lets me focus more on building features rather than managing infrastructure. Great experience overall.
