Q: Can a Course be 'bundled' with a Community subscription?
I'd like to be able to offer community access as an 'upsell' when someone purchases a course. is this possible at checkout via bundle or upsell?

Not at all. Course subscriptions and community subscriptions are separate, so you cannot bundle them.
