Best decision ever to use it !
I am really surprised, amazed, and happy. I have also purchased the AppSumo Plus annual plan now, and with all the benefits it offers, it is really worth it. I am happy about it. Great. Thank you.

Many promises, no service & "Plus Support" effectively doesn't exist
I purchased the AppSumo Plus membership specifically to gain access to the Yapper Tier 4 plan. The 15,000 recurring monthly credits were the clear business basis for my purchase.
The fact that these terms were unilaterally changed just one week after Black Friday (from monthly credits to a one-time bucket) is completely unacceptable. As a freelancer, this renders the product economically useless to me.
A Systemic Problem
Unfortunately, this no longer seems to be an isolated incident. Similar to the Supermachine deal (Founder: Rexxar)—where a dubious, free-to-play style rip-off "Gems" model was introduced retroactively—firm promises are being watered down after the sale. The fact that AppSumo tolerates this pattern with "Select" deals massively undermines trust in the platform. This same company is currently even selling another tool here on AppSumo.
No Real Support for Plus Members
What disappoints me the most, however, is how this issue is being handled. Despite my Plus membership—which is advertised with "VIP Support"—I have received not a single personal response to this day.
My emails were ignored or answered only with automated templates.
My specific points (loss of working hours, assets, and setup effort) were not addressed with a single word.
Instead, the automated standard email even included advertising for the "Black Friday Last Call" at the bottom. Trying to sell more offers in the same breath to a customer writing about a busted deal shows an absolute lack of sensitivity.
Conclusion: The deal does not deliver what was promised, and the "Premium Support" from AppSumo Plus was unfortunately completely worthless in this situation.

Dec 13, 2025Hey there, thanks for taking the time to share this so openly. I completely understand why the change to Yapper’s credit structure felt so frustrating, especially since Tier 4 was a big reason you joined Plus. I’m really sorry this experience fell short of expectations.
I checked in with our Support team and they let me know that your Yapper purchase was successfully refunded. They’ve also...

Plus “protection” isn’t worth it when Select deals get gutted a week after Black Friday
We purchased the Yapper AppSumo Select lifetime deal at Tier 4, clearly advertised with 15,000 recurring monthly credits.
However, just one week after the Black Friday sale, our “lifetime” plan was unilaterally downgraded to a one‑time bucket of 40,000 credits, supplemented only by a minor discount on future purchases.
This isn’t a small tweak—it’s a wholesale change to the economics of what we bought:
The original Tier 4 lifetime plan’s value was more than double that of Yapper’s standard Creator package.
The downgraded “lifetime” plan is not just inequivalent; it is substantially worse, offering significantly less value than what we were sold and, in many realistic usage scenarios, worse than just buying Yapper’s own Creator plan directly.
For an AppSumo Select deal—promoted heavily over Black Friday—this is unacceptable. AppSumo should take responsibility for a Select partner gutting the core value of a lifetime deal a week after the sale ends, instead of hiding behind the refund policy and acting like nothing is wrong.
Given this experience:
Affected AppSumo Plus members should seriously consider canceling their Plus memberships, assuming a prorated refund is possible.
Since AppSumo has failed to support its customers and stand behind a Select lifetime deal that was materially changed right after Black Friday, a boycott of the platform is also a justifiable response.
At this point, AppSumo Plus feels about as valuable as a few measly single‑ply sheets of toilet paper after a hard night out eating really bad one‑star tacos—a nice idea on the sales page, but not something you’d rely on when things actually get messy.

Dec 12, 2025Hey Jason, really appreciate you sharing your honest feedback. I know the change to Yapper’s credit structure has been incredibly frustrating for a lot of folks and it’s completely fair to feel disappointed.
We posted an update on the deal page explaining the situation. In short: Yapper saw much higher usage than expected and had to adjust their plan to keep things sustainable long-term. You’ll...

Dec 3, 2025Thanks so much for the review! Sadly, your AppSumo Plus coupon can’t be combined with other discounts or sitewide promotions, but I’m passing your note along to the team. I’m glad to hear the quarterly $25 credits have been useful! 🙌 Thanks for being a Plus member!

Seemed like a good idea
I have purchased roughly 40 products from AppSumo in one year. Today I use around 10.
In some cases, promised features never appeared. Other times, the websites of the software developers were down rendering their software unusable. Another time, when I had to present different survey results for a company with a headcount of over 1000 employees, I could not access my information. Eventually, I did get a response and they fixed the issue, but by then I had to manually restore my results from drafts I had shared with some managers in order to make the presentation.
Questions here have gone unanswered, and worse, "moderated" in a way that feels like censorship.
I will probably use my last $25 coupon, but I will not renew AppSumo Plus. It has been quite a disappointment. I do hope they improve.
