With regards to our website, we don't sell non-enterprise deals outside the AS promotion. There will be no option in the future to get access to Substrata at this price level (minimum outside of AS is $990/user).
Hey buddy, a CRM integration is not included in the lifetime deal but isn't necessary in order to enjoy and benefit from the product. A CRM integration is usually asked by enterprise clients that need more control tools. Every integration is different. We have a very unique product (deep learning and deep reinforcement learning engines) and the integration is especially expensive. It isn't even available at our normal price which is $990/user/year. So you can imagine why we can't offer it for the $79 you're paying for life.
As to your demand for a list of features the deal does not include - a CRM integration would be it. Other included features are offered in the product roadmap section.
Thanks for your reply Ori, Toda raba. I appreciate the reply, but would you also be kind enough to include on the AppSumo page details what your "Basic plan" DOES include? as it's also not listed on your website
Q: Hi,
I use one Gmail account to send emails.
1. Will it analyze all incoming mails irrespective of mail provider like domainname1.com, yahoo.com etc.
2. How many email interactions need to happen with single person/multiple people in same organization for this tool to work effectively.
What specific insights will I get and how to use them?
3. It seems you are not giving CRM integration, what integrations you have and how do they work with your tool in terms of workflow? You said this deal is mapped to enterprise plan, then now CRM restriction, what other restrictions you will put in place later once deal ends? Also some sumolings are saying, you are offering basic plan. So please clarify.
2. It'll work effectively from the first time you use it, and will get better the more you use it. You'll get insights about sentiment, power dynamics, responsiveness, likelihood to close the deal, and more.
3. I've addressed this question numerous times: Q doesn't require a CRM integration to work well. Enterprise clients sometimes require it to supervise large teams (>25). All you need is Gmail / Google workspace (GSuite) email to benefit from it. All the components are listed, all the future items (included) are in the roadmap at feedback.substrata.me
A: Sylar - all of the features that are mentioned in our product roadmap will become fully available to the Sumo family as soon as they are released (with the exception of a CRM integration).
A: Yes. Substrata Q is already used by many PR firms (journalist outreach is indeed a common usecase). Q doesn't tell you exactly what to write, but it gives you an "X-Ray" vision to the perceptions of your prospect and an indication of whether you're on track or not.
Visit substrata.me, you'll find more details there.
I don’t use google products as they are terrible for data/privacy and many of us here are moving away from google. Would love to buy this if i could log in minus google- not going to give them access anymore
According to Statistica's industry research, Google Workspace (Gsuite) leads the office suite marketspace, holding a share of ~59.41% of the market. Microsoft office 365 follows with ~40.39% of the market. The remainder 0.2% is split between many other platforms. Data is per 2020 (there might have been some changes since, but Google is still the leader of this industry).
Q: In my Google Workspace account I have the main Gmail account, and I have also linked other non-Gmail accounts ...
to this workspace, which I can view and send from the same workspace account. How does this work regarding "user" based licensing? Can I buy a single user license and handle all the email accounts with that license, which are linked to this Google Workspace account?
Let's assume you've registered with gerd@company.com In this inbox (gerd@company.com) you also have emails coming in from - gerd@anothercompany.com - gerd@personal.com
Is your question if we can analyze messages that came from all 3 accounts using the Q account for gerdc@company.com?
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, your example is correct with the fact, that they are all 3 in one google account received (gerd@company.com) and sent from this Google Gmail account (with their correct email address in place)
You permit Q to fetch emails from this account for analysis. However, this does not permit Q to fetch emails for:
- gerd@anothercompany.com - gerd@personal.com
Security and privacy are top priority for us, as a result we've utilized the GmailAPI to obtain the data for Q. This also means that Q does not analyze data that is not part of the permissions Q was granted for.
In short, one email address, one account, one permission. Q does not support the scenario you've mentioned.
Thanks for the clarification. That's too bad... This means that I need to set up for each email account a separate Gmail account. How about the licensing for the tool. Can I use my "1 user" account for multiple emails?
You can purchase multiple seats (3 or 5) and invite other users. Each email address is a seat. Notice that they won't work side-by-side (i.e. no federation login) at the moment.
Q: Can we change the users emails easily and as many times as we want?
A: Appsumo requires that every license should come with one admin email address. You can add or remove other users if you buy the 3/5 users plan, but the admin email address representing your account should stay the same. It's important to choose the email address you'll actually be using.
Emails are sent from Gmail accounts but via api from our outreach tools. Does this analyse historical emails or do emails need to be sent from within Gmail
A: Q's main purpose is to function as a real time AI assistant for the sophisticated dealmaker (CEOs / Founders / Investment Bankers / VC/PE GMs, Solopreneurs, B2B Sales Pros). It's great at helping you craft an optimal response to your prospect, one that will increase chances of pushing the deal forward.
It's less about massive outreach cycles, because it works on nuances and subtleties that exist in relationship itself, many of which are nonverbal patterns, relative stuff.
Not using a Google / Gmail / G-Workspace (calling them G-platfoms for convenience) interface already takes the experience of using the Chrome extension away from you.
Technically, if emails are sent from any G-platform that you can access, you can go in, analyze whatever threads you want and see the results.
If you'd like, we may think of a dedicated API solution that can accommodate your specific needs but such project isn't part of AppSumo's life time deal.

Q: Hello - Looks like a neat tool to use.
Is there a roadmap to work with office365 (outlook)?
I use free Gmail and domain based email accounts, for example I use Godaddy shared hosting, so can I send emails from sales@xyz.com or only from sales@gmail.com (personal free account).
You mentioned outlook, can a solopreneur like me use it, is it free?
2. What will I do based on your Chrome insights, means how to read and use them, what do you mean by thread analysis, upper hand analysis? Is your outlook integration also depends on chrome integration?
3. Where are you based, team size, and years of business?
1. As soon as we cover outlook it will be available for free for existing customers.
2. None. We never worked with SMBs or solopreneurs prior. Our typical customers are enterprise-size firms, tech firms, investment banks, M&A teams, CROs / SVP Sales, CEOs. Normal cost per user starts at $990/year. The AppSumo deal is time limited and we will not support any additional life time deals after the end of this specific promotion (we will continue to support all existing customers though). At AppSumo's price point, we do not retrieve any financial benefit, but we are venture backed, so we are not dependent on this stream of revenue. Our interest to open our platform to SMBs / Solopreneur is to get more diverse product feedback and use it to improve the product for everyone's benefit.
3. Upper hand is a term to describe situational social dominance. All of the terminology is well explained in the dashboard. Our help center also covers a lot of ground, you can visit it here: help.substrata.me
4. Sophisticated dealmakers: CEOs, VP Sales CROs, Investment Bankers, B2B Sales executives, M&A professionals, CorpDev execs. Anyone who deals with high ticket complex transactions that require nuances and soft skills.
5. We don't, but we would love to discuss a channel partnership with you. Please contact me directly at: ori@substrata.me

2. Which regular plan on your site is this deal mapped to?
3. Can you explain meaning of terms you are using in this context? For example, upper hand analysis, etc. Do you mean interaction thread needs to be lengthy for this to work?
4. What do you mean by sophisticated deal makers?
5. Do you have an affiliate system so that I can sell this to my clients in US? Thanks
Q: Hi, This looks like a great tool.
But I have a quick question. It appears even prospective customers should be using Google platform. Is that so? Will this tool not work if customers/prospective customers user their private or other non-google email address? Can you please elaborate on that? Is there a good product demo video to look at? Thanks.
Thanks, although the videos are small, gives some idea. Is there any specific reason that only Google platform could be supported? Don't understand that logic why only Google (or Outlook in future) and why we can't use our company email? Can you please help us understand that?
So, we support Gmail & Google Workspace as email platforms. Over a billion people are using Gmail and millions of organizations (companies of all sizes) are using Google Workspace (Gsuite) as a platform for their organizational email.
Outlook is also popular. Together, they cover most of the market. This is why. If you're talking about email domains, then yes, we cover every any domain that is registered with Google workspace for the operation of it email exchange.
Good to know about your thoughts on Google Workspace and gmail. In my knowledge, most or majority of businesses do not use free gmail services for business work or communication. However, many or most education or non-profit institutions do use those platforms since there are numerous discounts or cost benefits offered by the Big Techs. Personally, in my more than couple of decades in the industry, I have used only private domains and plaforms, and we supported small to Fortune 10 to Fortune 500 customers across the globe. Are you saying your tool also has the capability to do behavioral and sentiment analysis on prospects from companies using paid products and services of Google Workspace or Microsoft Azure AD?
Hey friend. So. I think you're mixing the concept of an email domain and email platform. Many millions of organizations use Google Workspace (previously known as Gsuite). It means that their register their email domains with Google's service for business email. It's not Gmail (and not free) but it is based on the same infrastructure, pretty much. Then, many millions of businesses use outlook. All the rest make up a very tiny marketshare in comparison.
As far as the analysis goes with regards to the PROSPECTS (i.e. not the users of Q, but the users' prospects), it doesn't matter what email they are using, what size of company they work for or what products they use.
Hope that is clear now. Feel free to shoot me an email to ori@substrata.me if you have additional questions.
I don't think he was mixing concepts. He's saying he uses his own privately managed mailservers which is often the case for literally millions of websites that use most hosting services through cPanel etc.
Good to know substrata doesn't support these as I need something that does.
Thanks, Maven Labs. The notion that the concepts were mixed was based on the contents of the entire thread. Re your comment, I hear you man. We're opening this up to more and more platforms one step at a time, we might get there next year.
Q: I was actually on the market for this functionality, can it work on a google sheet, as opposed to accessing our emails?
or can we upload a sheet with text from previous emails?
Glad to hear you see value in this. Q is built to assist you in your ongoing deals by analyzing and simulating live deals thus it is suited to the Gmail interface and does not work on Google Sheets.
Regarding previous emails - you can analyze them in your inbox and get a detailed analysis.
I would be happy to understand your needs. Are you searching for a tool that mass-scans your inbox and presents analytics on previous deals beyond analyzing ongoing deals?
Hi yes so I wouldn't want the tool to read all emails in certain client's inboxes (legal/health etc), but only some filtered ones, would also like to keep certain client's info from any app to protect their privacy, for this I can extract the body of certain emails to a google sheet for analysis, column A for example, and it would be great for your software to analyze a column of text on a given sheet.
Thanks! You are touching on a couple of points here.
1. Auto scan, but with a filtering mechanism 2. Privacy concerns 3. A method to utilize our technology not via an email
Regarding #1 -
We have thought about allowing a user to auto-scan but with a whitelist/blacklist mechanism. You are suggesting something that is similar to "Here's a list of email addresses, scan them and give me a report". This is an interesting feature, I will bring it up in our next product sync.
Regarding #2 -
We value privacy very much. We've built Q to be as secure as possible, and GDPR compliant. It is being pen tested frequently. We take privacy into account on the software level, on the ML level, and on the ops level. See here for more details - https://help.substrata.me/en/articles/6492601-is-my-data-kept-private-secure
Regarding #3 -
We have on our future roadmap an API that will allow you to leverage our technology. I assume you could easily connect it to a Google Sheet document with some coding magic once it's out.
Thanks for the thorough response, Im sold, here is a bit more on those points:
1. Auto scan, but with a filtering mechanism
More like the google email filter function (or perhaps only scan emails with certain google labels created via gmail's filter), where I can scan for certain emails only containing a keyword on the subject such as " RE: Our conversation" or from bob@appsumo.com
2. Privacy concerns
So this is key for some industries, I won't be installing this directly on my main or my customer's emails (maybe on some low volume ones), but I will hodl and wait for your updates (fingers crossed), some industries in the US will ask you to be HIPAA compliant etc., and I think the way around that is to allow for an option to process the data outside from emails (most people can easily automate email extraction into sheets etc.)
3. A method to utilize our technology not via an email
Yes! API, Webhook, Google sheets integration, Make +++
Hello, I don't want to hijack this user's question, but I am also looking for this kind of functionality, to assess past sales conversations.
I work with clients on building outbound sales campaigns, and being able to not only manually (i.e. me) look at the cadences and offer suggestions, but having them run through your system could give some valuable data on top of manual suggestions.
I was thinking about how to implement this with the current set-up - the only option would be to gain access to some of the SDRs' email inboxes, add them to Q as a user, and run the analysis on selected threads. Overall this may be not ideal, I expect some friction with gaining access to inboxes...
However, being able to automatically upload them, let's say in a CSV would be really great.
Thanks
Q: Friends, please note:
1.
You have to be using either Google Workspace (GSuite) or Gmail in order to enjoy Substrata Q.
2. During the purchase process, make 100% sure you register with the same email address you intend to use because you won't be able to replace it later.
Q: I'm trying to understand the use case of your software and how the various metrics would actually help me.
E.g. what am I supposed to do with the information that my competence level is low? How exactly will this help me in closing deals? Also most of my sales conversations happen in meetings rather than emails, emails used mostly to get the next call on the calendar or get the contract signed. Will it be useful in this case? I have just tried it out, the analysis says that I am in the selling zone and the suggestion is to "Stay on course, but don't rush into it" - what am I supposed to do with this information? I can't close the deal yet because the prospect isn't ready. At the same time, when I simulate a reply, it always says that I will be below the "selling zone".
But we are in Europe and most of our text is in Dutch and German. Any plans to add other languages in, and if so, in what timeframe you think that this will be happening?
Q: I may be interested in having 15 users, if I were to buy 3 separate Tier 3 level licenses, could I combined ...
all 15 users into a single account?

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, your example is correct with the fact, that they are all 3 in one google account received (gerd@company.com) and sent from this Google Gmail account (with their correct email address in place)

No. Of course this is not the case.
As a user of Substrata Q you obviously don't care (or know) what email platform your prospect is using. And so, it doesn't matter.
The only limitation is on the user's end, not the prospect's end.
Q users need to be using either Gmail or Google Workspace (Gsuite) for the platform to work properly.
We will release a version for Outlook in the near future.

Of course, please watch any of these:

What platform are you using?
When you say Outlook, are you referring to the outlook client for Windows or to the office 365 ?
Hi Zack, re your question, I'm referring to both.
Hey friend.
Thanks

1. Auto scan, but with a filtering mechanism
2. Privacy concerns
Yes! API, Webhook, Google sheets integration, Make +++
Excited to see what your software brings.

Thanks
Q: Friends, please note: 1.
You have to be using either Google Workspace (GSuite) or Gmail in order to enjoy Substrata Q.
2. During the purchase process, make 100% sure you register with the same email address you intend to use because you won't be able to replace it later.
Thank you,
Ori

Q: How this app is working with Spanish?
It is as good as with English?
Ori-Zuckerman
May 15, 2024A: Hey friend,
As mentioned, this tool only works in the English language.

May 15, 2024A: Hey friend,
This tool is designed for high end, sophisticated dealmakers.
It helps dealmakers assess situations, but not to sell for them or put words in their mouths.
Keep moving forward, analyzing your replies before sending your next email(s) to make sure you're in or close to the selling zone.
More info is available in the FAQ section under "Selling Zone 101".

Q: Hi, Looks very interesting.
But we are in Europe and most of our text is in Dutch and German. Any plans to add other languages in, and if so, in what timeframe you think that this will be happening?
Baruchi-Substrata
May 15, 2024A: At the moment we only support English. Other languages are not on the immediate roadmap
