This app seems to have some potential the templates are great but I ended up having to refund in the end. I had a campaign of about 100 emails a day and at least 10% of them were bounce backs despite paying extra credits for enrichment. Some were also off base entirely (like a municipal fire department when trying to pitch a news story on quantum computing). Otherwise it was good. Tried podcast, listicle, and news story outreach. The bounce back issue seems to apply to every database based service which is why I still gave 3 tacos. Unfortunately, so many bounce backs my provider almost bans me is an irreconcilable difference so didn't even bother reaching out to support because thats not a fixable issue. Didn't try any other features or have use for them, purchased solely for the outreach described above.

I went in skeptical and bought Tier 3, and honestly my experience exceeded what I expected. The platform has a learning curve, support runs through email, but the onboarding walked me through enough that I was running my first campaign the same week.
In my case, 2,271 credits got me 311 items, and once I understood that credits are charged per result pulled, the math tracked with how it was presented on AppSumo. Setting my filters tighter cut down the generic and empty contacts a lot, so my second campaign was noticeably more efficient.
I also spot-checked the metrics myself against MOZ before trusting them, and they lined up close enough that I'm comfortable using the data to evaluate sites for link building and guest posting.
One thing worth knowing going in is that organic traffic metrics need your own Ahrefs API or subscription. I already had Ahrefs, so for me it was a non-issue, and I'd rather plug in my own source than pay a markup for someone else's.
What stood out most was the response when I raised questions. I emailed about my credit usage and got a real answer explaining where the spend went, plus a couple of specific filter changes to try. It didn't feel like a canned reply, and the suggestions actually worked.
If you plan to use this mainly for link building or guest posting, go in expecting to learn the tool and bring your own Ahrefs, and it earns its keep. For me the value clearly justified the cost.

Respona is a great tool. I was debating between giving it 4 or 5 stars, but the excellent customer support convinced me to go with 5. Here are my thoughts:

WHAT I LIKE

* Customer support deserves a special mention. After reaching out through both their regular support channel and a question I posted on AppSumo, I received quick replies. They even upgraded all of our features after realizing there was a mismatch between the AppSumo listing and the actual offering.
* The quality of the leads is excellent and noticeably better than with other outreach tools I've tried on AppSumo.
* The UI is clean and easy to navigate. I also really appreciate the onboarding webinar and videos, which provide a lot of helpful context and best practices.

WHAT CAN BE IMPROVED

* Even though I love Respona, I can't use it to its full potential because it doesn't support Gmail's "Send mail as" feature. I believe this could be solved with a relatively simple improvement by fetching the list of allowed sender addresses from Gmail. I've already shared an example implementation with their support team. This would make the tool much more useful for Gmail users.
* The UI can be a bit glitchy at times. For example, I've occasionally encountered errors or been redirected to a "not available" page while writing emails or inserting variables. It's not a major issue, but it would improve the overall experience.
* Adding a manual opportunity is frustrating. Importing via CSV consistently fails for me, so it would help to include a sample CSV file. Even better would be a simple "Add Manual" option that lets users create an opportunity directly within the Respona interface.

I’ve been using Respona for a week now mainly for podcast outreach, and it’s been one of the more effective tools I’ve tried for this kind of work. I originally purchased it for backlinks but came across the podcast opportunity.

I set up a “Podcast outreach” campaign and had 586 opportunities in it. The sequence is currently running with solid open rates (around 73% on the ones that have been contacted) and I’ve already started getting replies. One of those replies turned into a calendar invite. That alone made the tool worth it for me.

What I like:
* Clean campaign dashboard that shows launched, scheduled, contacted, opened and replied numbers clearly
* The inbox view is useful for keeping track of the conversation threads without jumping between tools.
* Easy to see what’s working and what’s not at a glance

I’m still early with it, but the fact that I’ve already booked a real meeting from cold outreach is a good sign. Looking forward to scaling this further.

if you are serious about backlink and outreach is your main strategy then you are simply praised with this tool.
