Q: Scraping returns 20 of 2467 contacts and always starts back at the top.

I tried scraping a page with contacts. Locally the agent returned zero results, and causing a 428 error permanently for my IP. It ate 100 credits for that result. In the cloud it opened one browser and proceded to do the same thing. I then prompted it different - do it manually don't go find api. It now - after constantly stoping found 81 contacts. I am much faster without it. Where can I get help to show me how to do this. Rover does not help.

A: Hi, I'm really sorry about this. Spending 100 credits for zero contacts, and getting your IP rate-limited on top of that, is not okay. Refunded the credits and granted some more for the hassle!

What happened: on your run, the agent tried to pull the list from the site's API instead of reading the page, and the site answered with the 428. The extension runs in your own browser, so that block landed on your IP. 100 credits is also the default per-task limit: a run pauses there and asks before spending more, which is likely the stopping you saw. But you should have gotten partial results or could have asked for it to finish to get the full results.

What works better for a list this long:
1. Tell it to use the page, for example: "Scroll this contact list until no new contacts load, then extract each contact's name, email and phone into a Google Sheet. Don't use the site's API." If the list is split into pages, say "go through every page" instead.
2. When it pauses, click Continue instead of starting a new task, so it picks up where it stopped. For a job this size you can raise the limit under Settings → Agent Settings → "Credit Ceiling / Task".
3. If the site rate-limits, run it in the cloud. Cloud browsers don't use your IP.

Rover, the assistant on our website, isn't built for hands-on workflow help. You can just point your agent to our docs, or download our skill file.

Send the page URL to [email protected] or book 15 minutes at rtrvr.ai/demo, and I'll set this up with you and send you the working prompt.
