Here is the difference in simple terms:

* **12 Stores** means you can create and manage up to 12 completely separate businesses/stores under your account.
For example:

* 1 fashion store
* 1 marketplace
* 1 restaurant
* 1 directory website
* 1 digital products store
…up to 12 independent stores.

* **Unlimited Custom Domains** means each store can connect to as many domains/subdomains as you want.

Example:
Your marketplace could use:

* mymarketplace.com
* vendors.mymarketplace.com
* app.mymarketplace.com
* germany.mymarketplace.com
* france.mymarketplace.com

without domain limitations.

About marketplaces/directories:
In Tier 5, you have access to the Enterprise-level marketplace and listing/directory features, so you can create:

* Multi-vendor marketplaces
* Business directories
* Service listing platforms
* Booking/listing websites
* Local city directories
* Airbnb-style concepts
* Lawyer/doctor/salon listing platforms
and more.

The maximum number of marketplaces/directories is basically tied to your store count.
So with Tier 5, you can build up to 12 separate marketplace/directory projects if you want.

Also important:
T3/T4/T5 include Enterprise-grade features. When we release new enterprise marketplace/listing capabilities, these tiers will receive them as well.
