I bought this tool and tested it with a few different cases, but I was pretty disappointed for the following reasons, which is also why I am going to request a refund.
1. When you first log in, the tool forces you to connect something. There is no way to skip this step, which is annoying and frustrating. From a user perspective, this is not ideal and does not provide a clean experience.
2. The AI is very slow, and having to use chats to go through every single step is not ideal either. You waste a lot of time.
3. Regarding the chat, after connecting an ad account, I asked it to set up a simple boosted post campaign in Meta Ads. I gave clear instructions on how to name the campaign and ads, and provided a clear brief on the campaign objective, budget, audience, and more. It took 25 minutes and still was not able to set up 95% of the campaign. It kept running into issues. It only created the campaign but did not add any ad sets. All while I was talking to it and waiting for 25 minutes. At the same time, it used 3,000 credits without success, which was very disappointing. This type of tool will not improve my work or help me be more efficient when setting up campaigns for clients. If I set up the campaign myself, it takes five minutes. This AI tool took 25 minutes and did not set up anything for me.
4. Claude can do all of this faster and costs less since I am not paying for credits. I did the same test with Claude, and instead of pausing or running into issues, Claude completed the entire process in about five minutes and set up the drafted, paused campaign in Meta Ads without stopping or reporting any issues. I really do not see the value in this tool. If you use Claude or another AI platform that has mcp, it can already set up the campaign for you if connected to your Meta Ads account.
5. The tool seems like just a WRAPPER. It likely uses third-party tools + ai api's, but its capabilities are much more limited and it is much slower than using AI platforms like claude directly.
6. The other features in the tool looked interesting, such as dashboards and some other sections. I tried to sync data into the dashboard, but nothing loaded after 30 minutes while it said it was still processing.
Overall, I did not enjoy my experience using this tool. I feel I can already do all of this using Claude, so I do not see the value of adding this to my toolset. It is very slow, and I do not have time to wait for a tool that makes mistakes, uses credits while I wait, and fails to complete tasks. For that reason, I do not like this and will request a refund.
Too bad, I had high hopes for this tool. It is always good to test tools you buy here with real use cases so you do not waste your money.
P.s. Maybe this tool is better suited for simple tasks like writing content for SEO blogs, as the person below my review mentions, but I would not recommend it for more technical tasks like meta ad/ google ad setup.

Thanks for testing Soku on a real client brief and writing this up in detail. I'm sorry it cost you an evening. Here's what we found when we went through your session:
1. Connecting: the Connect Tools step during setup is optional. The button at the bottom reads "Skip for now" until something is connected. If it didn't come across that way, that's on our wording and we'll make it clearer.
Soku is a game-changer. It is highly customizable and truly autonomous, as it quickly understands your business and begins executing marketing strategies on your behalf. Having purchased other marketing tools on AppSumo, I can confidently say that Soku beats them all hands down. It is one thing to have an app that provides real data, but it is entirely another to have one that acts on that data without needing constant direction. For instance, Soku has already begun writing and posting SEO-optimized blog content to my site without me having to lift a finger. This is an incredible tool for anyone looking to automate their marketing efforts.
The team is highly responsive, as you can see from the Q&A and the push are currently pushing updates very quickly. I'm floored by the experience thus far. Just waiting to see if this is campaign specific or true dedication to an amazing app and it's users.

Thank you, TetanicRaptor! It means a lot, especially from someone who pushed us hard in the Q&A this week. Your feedback is the reason the canvas now has 11 video models in the app. On your last line: we're a small team that ships most days, and that pace isn't tied to the campaign. Keep the requests coming, we read every one.
Disclaimer: I'm a paid product evaluator for AppSumo and received this tool for free to provide a detailed review. My opinions are entirely my own, and my compensation is not tied to the rating or taco score I give.
A lot of AI marketing tools can look at your ad data and tell you what they think you should do. Soku is designed to continue past the recommendation and actually make the change.
You can connect Google Ads, Meta and TikTok, along with sources such as GA4, Shopify and Search Console so Soku has the conversion and revenue context behind the ad performance. It can then find things like wasted spend, ROAS drops, CPA spikes or campaigns that need attention.
You also don't have to hand over full control on day one. Read access is the default, so you can start by letting Soku audit the accounts and make recommendations. From there, you can enable actions that require approval and eventually let routine changes run automatically within the rules you set.
Soku can do things such as pause ads, move budget, add negative keywords and launch new ads rather than simply producing another report telling you to do those things yourself. Actions that could increase spend can still be held for approval, and the activity log shows what changed and the numbers behind the decision.
The automation side should also save a lot of checking. You can schedule daily and weekly briefs and set alerts for things like ROAS drops, CPA spikes and unusual spending, so you don't have to keep three advertising dashboards open waiting to notice something has gone wrong.
There are creative tools in the same platform too. You can take an existing ad and resize, localize, caption or modify it, or turn a product image into another ad variation without starting over.
During my testing, I also found the API and MCP connection available, along with BYOK under Integrations. I didn't run into anything that warranted an action item for the partner. Native webhooks would still be a useful addition for completed automations, approvals and credit thresholds, but that was more of a suggestion and a wishlist item from me.
One thing to understand with the AppSumo deal is how credits work. They are used for AI work such as analysis, creative generation and agent actions, reset each month and don't roll over. Additional one-time credit packs are available and those do not expire.
Overall, I think Soku's advantage is that it closes the loop between noticing a problem in an ad account and doing something about it. You can keep yourself involved in the decisions you want to approve while letting Soku handle more of the repetitive monitoring and execution.

Thanks for the thorough review, Abe! You captured what we're going for: closing the loop between spotting a problem in an ad account and actually fixing it, while you stay in control of what needs your approval. Good call-out on how credits work too. Monthly credits reset, and one-time credit packs never expire. Native webhooks for completed automations, approvals and credit thresholds are on our...

An ad agent that can go from analysis to action
