Q: I used this app for some time now and I like its simplicity.
In the beginning I received answers to my support questions (within the Appsumo money back period). None of my concerns/issues/feature requests were addressed. There are issues e.g. with the Google Calendar integration that need to be solved.
Anyone else having support issues. To me it seems like squidhub has been abandoned by Andreas Overbeck.
Any feedback is highly appreciated. Would hate to lose my money but more to migrate to a different platform.

We're working on adding a "user management console". It will allow you to manage you AppSumo lifetime deal - by adding, removing and switching codes between members. This will replace the organization page (which has been removed since it caused a bit of confusion to the deal).
To rule out any confusion (which there may have been), please notice that the codes don't expire - otherwise you wouldn't be able to switch AppSumo codes between accounts.
Lastly, thank you very much for the immense interest in our platform - and all of the kind words and positive feedback that we're receiving! We really appreciate it :)

OK, I see there still isn't a way to see our level, but I did create a couple more groups so that would be the code took. There was not welcome email except the for confirm email, so wasn't sure?

Q: Are you able to "export" the comments at the end of a file?
For example, if I were planning on treating it like a dated ongoing memo to the file where both me and my assistant could report communications with the client, the court, adversaries, etc. so that we are both always on the same page even when we can't touch base, would i be able to download or export that information and reporting into a word doc to print and/or save to the file once completed?

There's currently no export functions available in SquidHub. However, I'd like to upvote it on your behalf, but we need to understand if it's e.g. exporting the entire todo list to e.g. Excel or PDF.
Could you also please elaborate why you would need to export the information? I'm asking because you can always access it from both web and mobile, so we would be happy to understand the use case.
Is it e.g. because you need to file/archive some information physically or in another system?

Q: Hello, tried the free account but leave me underwhelmed.
One of the most important project/todo app feature was always the reminder features. This one almost has none. The reminders are very rough (e.g. 5 minutes before deadline, 1 day before deadline) there is no way to set a specific time for the reminder or set a multiple reminders (which is one of the most important features - to nag you to finish your work)
Another big issue I found that keeps me from using you app is how it handle images. For example - in most other todo apps I can simply "Copy Image" from my browser window and "Paste" it directly and the app will upload the image automatically. You have no such feature, I have to download the file and upload it manually which slows down my work considerably.
And the final blow is that there is no image preview. When you upload an image file it just stays there as a link/text and there is no way to visualize what's going on in a glance. Sadly this was the final straw and literally makes this tool impossible to use for any mildly serious marketing task. I don't need any complicated features or task dependencies but I cannot cope up with the lack of very, very basic features that 97.6% of your competitors already have for years.
My question is, do you plan to tackle any of these issues and within what timeframe? If you have a solid plan about these issues I will get an AppSumo code, but I will keep my watch for them to be resolved within my AppSumo refund period.

We prioritize and develop the features that are most heavily requested from our users - currently being My Tasks, Zapier integration and organizing groups intod folders (in the sidebar) which are all expected to be released in Q2 this year.

Having said that, and to be honest, we don't have any specific timeline on when these 3 features will be implemented as other features with more upvotes will be implemented first.
I completely understand why you'd like to see these available in SquidHub, but I also hope you follow why it's not yet available and why other features are currently priotized above these.

I read the FAQ that says "Clients/guests/external members will join on the free plan which gives them access to join 2 groups and use the basic features.
If clients need to join more groups (or would like access to Premium features), then they can of course decide to upgrade themselves.'
Q: I've purchased 10 codes, but dont have 50 email addresses.
I'm building a new company and right now it's just me. What shall I do while I wait for you to upgrade to managing users? Will be after the 60 day Appsumo return policy?
As mentioned in the pinned post, the codes are set to not expire. So you can use the remaining 49 seats any time down the road.
When the user management console is up, you'll be able to add the 10 codes to your account - and you can then easily manage the upgrade/downgrade of users.

Clicking the icon at the top right opens dialog box > I enter name or email & press 'SEND INVITATION'. Then what happens? Do they receive invitation emails? If yes, what does the email contain? Can I not review the email before it's sent? So confusing!!
2) When I add a To-Do, I cannot link it to a PDF I already uploaded under Files & Links. Why is this so?
1) When you press "Send Invitation" the user will receive an email invitation which include - your email address - the name you provided in SquidHub - the name of the group you're inviting them to
It also includes an explanation of what SquidHub is. That it's a collaboration hub for teams.
We don't have an option to customize the content of the email invitation as of now. However, I have upvoted that request on your behalf.
2) To link an uploaded document to a todo: - Open the todo - Set the cursor in the field "Link to an uploaded file..." - Start typing the name of the file, and it will appear in the dropdown - Select the file and click Save

(1) Correct, we've integrated with open-source video conferencing Jitsi in order to provide a simple, eas-y-to-use and inexpensive way to have video conferences in the team. That's also why we can offer our Premium Plan for $4.99. If we were to integrate another video conferencing tool, we would have to increase the pricing for our paid plan.
(2) It's the first time we hear about the need for recording team video meetings. And again, if we were to provide this as part of the product, we would have to increase the pricing for the paid plans. So for now, Jitsi is the video conferencing tool that we've integrated to provide the video conferencing functionality. Please reach out to support@squidhub.com and we'll be happy to continue the dialog about the needs for more advanced video conferencing options.
(3) Layout is of course a subjective matter. So far, we've only received very positive feedback on it and the simplicity around the application. Again, please let us know what would make your experience better by reaching out to support@squidhub.com.
(4) You can see all the groups you are a part of in the sidebar. And inside each group, the ribbon shows you exactly how many (and who) have access to the group. I hope that answers your 4th question.

However, we do expect to release Zapier integration in Q2 this year.
Regarding storage we don't have a limit on how much data can be stored - however, there is a limit on the upload file size which is 60 MB for now.
