Q: Is webhooks part of the roadmap?

Can we capture contacts from TidyCal?

A: Hey, patrick_tej!

We have API endpoint access available. Please email our support team who can talk to you about accessing those API endpoints. We were going to make them public, but unfortunately, we learned a lesson from bad actors who caused problems on our sister product SendFox. Bad apples ruin everything, so now we have to be more careful.

You could easily take any people who book with you and save them in a spreadsheet or similar via the Zapier integration (or those API endpoints you mentioned). You can also see anyone who has booked with you in the Bookings screen — we save all information about your bookings past and present for you.

Q: I have a few things that would really make this work for me.

I really want this to work. Do you have any of the following in the works?

1 -In TidyCal, it automatically sets time blocks. For instance, if I have no one scheduled for the day the only times that appear are 9:00, 11:30, 2:00. I would rather it display 1 hour intervals or 30 minute intervals and allow a customer to fill in the time they prefer like 10 am or 1 pm.
2 - An embed option for the bookings page as well.
3 - An option that doesn't allow people to book within a certain amount of time. For instance, people can't book within 2 days of a time. This one is important.

Otherwise, I really like this calendar! And... you can't beat the price. Thanks for this deal.

A: Great ideas, decadent2qt! None are possible right now, but thanks for sharing them. I added to our idea backlog so we can consider them as we continue to develop TidyCal.

Over the past ~2 months since launch, we've added DOZENS of features (see the second pinned topic), fixed dozens of bugs, and made dozens more small quality-of-life improvements — all free for Lifetime customers. We're excited to keep building for you. 🚀

A: What's up, Sumo-ling!

Yes, absolutely. This was MOST critical for me. I have about six different Google accounts that I use regularly (my personal, my AppSumo, my SendFox, etc.) and I wanted a single calendar link that would "read" across all those calendars so it wouldn't double-book me.

With up to 10 calendar connections, that's another way of saying you can connect up to 10 calendar accounts and it'll check all those calendars before allowing a booking to go through.

Q: Looks good, one major feature I think that's lacking is the Timezone on the client side.

Hopefully the client can see their timezone automatically selected and have an option where they can manually select a different timezone if the current timezone doesn't match their location. For example they are using a VPN.

A: Already done, Sumo-ling. We actually pull the time zone based on the browser setting of the user / recipient. So, no matter where your recipient is, and no matter if they're using a VPN, we look at the browser time zone setting specifically. Easy!

Q: Hi, I tried the free account.

I have few questions:

1. After a user set a meeting I didn't see that my calendar was updated.
I saw that the client received an email with the info.
2. Are you planning to add integromat integration?
3. How can I add a phone field in the form?
4. Can I add custom css?

Thank you,
Sam

A: Woohoo, Sumo-ling! Looks like you're a "Verified Purchaser" who upgraded from the free account to the Lifetime plan. So awesome. Enjoy — for $19 one-time fee, you get all the features plus all future Lifetime features for free. Way better than paying those Other Guys $15 per month, isn't it? 😉

You should see your calendar being updated, as long as you're integrated with Google Calendar and you selected your calendars in your TidyCal settings. If you have any tech issues, please do email support@tidycal.com.

You can add questions to your bookings to ask for phone number (or whatever else you want).

For now, no Integromat, no custom CSS. But you can embed the widget and do custom CSS around the embedded unit. Enjoy!

Q: Hey - this is a really cool tool - thank you.

1. It seems not to get when I'm busy in my calendar - is there a way to force a sync after I made some alterations? I often plan some days and after want to send my emails out - but the tool still tells me I'm available where I'm not.

2. I understand you have Zapier but as a Coder myself I would really like a webhook. - Like just one URL you ping the data with like you do with Zapier?

3. I would really like to make links not shown on the Overview screen, could we get a little switch that certain meetings are on a "secret" link?

A: Thank YOU, Solution-Work. Appreciate those kind words. You're awesome!

If you have any issues with syncing, please email our Support team at support@tidycal.com or originals@appsumo.com (both go to the same team). We fixed 95% of sync issues, or calendar issues in general, but there are a few that still sneak by. Usually, it's caused by something weird on the Google Calendar end.

I love the idea of an API, and I love the idea of secret links. I want to do both. We have it on our pipeline at some point. The more people who buy TidyCal, the more money we have for development to pay our awesome dev team to build these new features. The way you can help out is keep telling your friends about TidyCal. Can't wait to keep building for you!

A: Hey, jedisites! We're hoping soon.

We've had multiple review rounds with the Zoom team at this point, and we think (hope) we're close. Like I mention in the roadmap (you can find the link in other Q&A comments if you search), third-party integrations are VERY unpredictable. It's hard to create a timeline for them because one Zoom reviewer will say we just need to fix one thing, everything else is good... and then another Zoom reviewer will come along and say we actually need to fix four other things... rinse and repeat.

As soon as it's live, we'll announce it to all users via an email. Yay!

Q: So, this is pretty cool.

A great, affordable way! However, I'm sort of trying to add more than one brand as I own two agencies. Is this something that's doable or do I need to purchase another code? I'd prefer not to but I get it.

A: Hey, Kirby!

We don't have agency plans at this time, or plans that support multiple brands. The best use for TidyCal is for a single entrepreneur, sales person, consultant, etc. Because it's so affordably priced, if you have different brands, we recommend multiple TidyCal accounts. We don't have any plans to support agency plans, multiple brands, or different team members / users / logins under a single account at this time.

Sorry for the unfortunate news, but we're hyper-focused on doing what we're doing now. 😉

Q: Looks great!

Is this multi-user and does it support teams?
For example, I have 10 people in my team that need the tool, do they all need their own license? And can more team members be added to one event, so the software automatically selects the team member that's available at a specific time?

Thank you!

A: Hey, Sumo-ling!

Thanks so much for your question.

You can do multi-users right now — sort of. We do allow 10 calendar connections, which can mean 10 different Google accounts. For example, you could create a Booking Type for your sales team, connect 10 team member calendars, and the Booking Type would check the calendars of all team members before offering an opening to book. This is great for B2B or B2E clients where you need the full sales team, executive team, etc. on a high-profile call.

What CAN'T be done right now is auto-select different team members or other multi-user sophistication. At a $19 LTD, we're not priced for that and that's not our target market — and we have no plans for that. That requires a ton of sophistication, which requires a ton of dev time... and we'd have to increase our prices pretty dramatically. We're meant to be the simple, affordable solution so there are some features that we're not planning to do.

Sorry if that causes any inconvenience.

The best way to see if TidyCal works for you is to try it out yourself. Remember, AppSumo offers a 60-day refund so there's no risk to try. See if you love it, and if not, no worries, you can return it right back. But with 3,000+ users at this point — including some large influencers — we're confident that there's a lot to like. 😀

Q: I like this software but I noticed there is 1 very important feature missing and I want to ask how it could be possible to add that.

If I open my calendar to people I want to have 48 hours notice before any meeting can go ahead.
My calendar is open 24/7 however I want to know about a meeting 48 hours before it takes place, so I can adjust my schedule, prep for the meeting and reorganize my deep work time.

Example, I send out my link today 12 March, the next available meeting should be 14th of march if they booked today. However, if they don't see the link and book tomorrow instead my availability should show from the 15th of march.
---
it's not the same as padding between meetings but it is a kind of padding, like 'how much notice I need padding'.

I hope you understand what I mean, you already have the Minimum meeting padding I am hoping this is easy to add, i really need this 'advanced notice padding'. Thanks

🤞🏽

Yes, this is a suggestion we hear a lot. We're head-down getting the Zoom integration live (as expected, it's a bit of a PITA... we've gone through three different reviews with the Zoom team who changes their opinion depending on the reviewer...), but this is something that we're going to prioritize as an update — and it'll be included for all customers like you.

Thanks so much for the suggestion.

Q: TidyCal is Allowing Overlapping Meetings with Google Calendar I integrated TidyCal with my Google Calendar.

Set it as my "Primary". And, I just setup a booking page in TidyCal.

However, it is showing people that they can meet with me tomorrow when I already have an appointment between 1 and 3:20 already on my calendar (marked as Busy in Google Calendar).

Am I missing a toggle to not allow overlapping appointments or something? Thanks in advance.

Is it possible that if an appointment on my Google Calendar that started BEFORE a cutoff in TidyCal's acceptable times that it doesn't know to prevent bookings for it if it continues into the TidyCal periods?

Thanks in advance.

A: Hey, Sumo-ling!

This review will be moderated, because it's more about a specific bug related to your account, from the sounds of it.

We want to protect your account privacy, and keep the Q&A section more clear for pre-purchase questions, general questions about the roadmap, etc.

This issue should have already been resolved, but if it's not, the best way to get answers to your technical questions is to email our TidyCal support team at support@tidycal.com. They can look into your account specifically to help. Thanks for using TidyCal!

No way to set it to required right now (just optional), but we will make a note and add to our idea backlog. A: Hey, pedro66 — you're a power user. Look at you! 💪

Not possible at this time. Even on Calendly's MOST premium plan ($15 per month, almost as much as we charge for life ha) they only allow 6 calendar connections. We wanted to add 10, but that's the max our technical infrastructure is set to do right now.

We'll add a note to potentially increase this down the line. For now, you might be able to get creative with our Zapier integration and checking more than 6 calendars using that. You can do so much with Zapier + TidyCal, so it's worth experimenting.

A: What's up, edric83! Thanks for your question.

No way to add additional fields right now — but there may be a temporary workaround for you. You can ALWAYS add questions to any Booking Type you have selected. Whether you want to ask your recipient's favorite song (this is what I do), their first name, or anything... that's up to you.

We also have a Zapier integration so upon booking you can send follow-up emails (or similar) asking for more information. With Zapier integration on TidyCal, the opportunities are really endless.

Q: Hello, I like TidyCal because is very easy to use and set up.

I tried the free version, but I miss some features:

1. Private links, so the booking can be hidden from the booking page, but still bookable.

2. More than 1 user or 1 booking page to separate different services. This might solve the different languages problem. I offer my services in 3 languages and right now I can only use 1.

3. The confirmation email: the client receives it from my email, not from my name, and has invitation to an event format. There is no cancel button, just the assisting or not options from the calendar. If they answer no I receive an email saying they reject my invitation, but the meeting is still in my bookings page. I think it should have a format more like the reminder email, that looks more clean and personal and comes from my name and add the cancelation option.

4. It is or it can be possible to book for our client a paid event (a paying later option) so they get an event proposal email with a paying option to confirm it? This one may be too much to ask for :)

Thank you

A lot of these ideas are already in our idea backlog. No ETA on those yet, but we'll continue adding the wonderful ideas of Sumo-lings and announce to all users when the features are live.

The one I think is really neat is a private booking link. I use TidyCal myself, and so does our team (it came from our own need) and that's one I'd personally use.

Yup, the best option is a single account for each person. At only $19 one-time fee... that's typically what other tools charge you for just a month. But you get TidyCal FOREVER! (At least, until society collapses, but that's a whole other topic.)

That includes all future Lifetime updates, too. Over the past month, we added dozens and dozens of new features — like you can see in the pinned topic. And all of them, Sumo-lings got for free. Epic.

Keep in mind, you can also ask questions pre-booking for recipients to fill out. These answers will populate in the event invite and in your dashboard for the person who booked. Enjoy!
