Q: Can I hide my email address?

I want to create a scheduling page, but I need my Google Calendar gmail address hidden from the recpients. Calendly has the email notification option, does this app have it too? I am looking to buy the Individual plan. The gmail account I will be using is an alias.

Thank you

A: Hello, thanks for reaching out!

Yes, and it's included in the Individual plan. Each booking type has a "Confirmation method" setting with two options, "Calendar invitation" and "Email confirmation". It's in the booking type's Notifications settings and appears once your calendar is connected.

With "Calendar invitation" (the default), the person who books is added as a guest on the Google Calendar event, so the invitation comes from Google and shows your calendar's address. With "Email confirmation", nobody is added to the event as a guest. The booking still goes into your calendar, and TidyCal sends the confirmation email itself, from TidyCal's own address with your name on it.

One thing to plan for: the email address on your TidyCal account is still visible in two places. It's the reply-to on those emails unless you set a custom reply-to address on the booking type (also included in Individual), and it's listed as the organizer in the calendar file attached to the confirmation. So as long as your TidyCal account uses a different address from the Gmail one, the Gmail address isn't shown to the people who book.
