Q: Hi, I'm loving how easy it is to do things with TidyCal but have a big question for the 'times available for booking'.

When I say that my availabilities are from, say, "8AM to 11AM" for a 60-minute meeting with a 15 minutes buffer, I would like my client to be able to make a booking at any time slot at 15 minute intervals.

For example, they should be able to choose from "8:00 to 9:00, 8:15-9:15, 8:30 to 9:30. 8:45 to 9:45, 9:00-10:00, 9:15-10:15, 9:30-10:30, 9:45-10:45, and 10:00-11:00.

E.g. If a client books my 8:30 - 9:30 slot, the next available slot should be 9:45-10:45.

Right now, the app only shows the 8:00-9:00 and 9:15-10:15 slots. My clients are used to a much more flexible booking option as shown above.

So here's the question:
Will this be something you are planning to make happen in the future? (and when do you think you'll be able to give us this option?)

Thank you for making an easy to use app. I really like it. This is the only big thing that's in the way of me using it right now!

Looking forward to hearing you answer.

A: Hey, jason.niva (and everyone).

In our most recent update release, this has been fixed. 🎉 We now increment available meeting times by 15 minutes, which should completely solve this issue. It's been automatically applied to every Lifetime user.

If you notice anything funky, don't hesitate to email our awesome Support team at [email protected]. Easy!

And stay tuned for a ton more updates... 👀 At this point, we've released literally 100+ new features, quality-of-life improvements, tweaks, and bug fixes — all have been 100% free for Lifetime customers. It's our treat to keep supporting this great product.

This was the reason I purchased and then almost immediately refunded this product.

I purchased this for a client. She offers 2 hour "intro calls". Which meant that tidycal only showed options like 8AM, then 10:15 am and so forth. That is strange and not what I or anyone else is expecting. Any open 2 hour slot would be ok.

For me, and I expect others, this is a complete deal breaker; especially when we have some "long" meeting types. I get that this opens a "box of worms", since there can be arbitrarily complicated rules for what people want to be "open times" for a meeting type.

Even so, for a simple calendar type, there could be a simple checkbox of "Allow all available times" or "strict scheduling rules" with a "?" to explain what those means. Or, something like that.

I have not bought tidycal, but been playing around and use other booking app...
If you want to have a booking every 15 minutes, your setting should be 15 minutes booking, with 0 minute buffer. What buffer means is the break between the booking hour.

Hope this helps,

Hey, thank you for your reply but the idea you suggested won't work because the length of the meeting will be 15 minutes then. I need to length of the meeting to be 60-minutes (or whatever else I've determined) with a choices available at 15 minute intervals. As for the buffer, I personally want a 45 minute buffer to be there once a booking is submitted.

These functionalities are available on calendar.com, so both my clients and I are used to it.

I'm convinced though that once Tidycal implements this, they'll definitely have superior product.

Thank you again anyways :)

Dear David and Team,

Thank you so much for this update and change! This definitely makes a huge difference! I'm loving it now!
