Q: I want to understand how yo use the various id fields.

In Zapier I can see
id
935527
contact_id
616190
booking_type_id
129667

If I want to uniquely use an id to tag a record that I keep outside of TidyCal so that when the appointment is made I will use it to look for the record tagged with this id...should it be id or booking_type_id?

A: Hello sunny028,

Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate your question.

In regard to the IDs mentioned, let me explain what they mean:

1. ID: This refers to the event ID, which is a unique system-generated identifier for each instance of the event. It helps to distinguish one event from another in the system.

2. Contact_ID: This refers to the ID assigned to your booker or contact. Each contact record in your TidyCal account is assigned a unique Contact_ID, which is associated with their email address. This helps in identifying and managing individual contacts.

3. Booking_Type_ID: This is the ID assigned to the Booking Type you have created in your TidyCal account. Each Booking Type has a unique Booking_Type_ID, which helps in organizing and categorizing different types of bookings.

We hope this explanation clarifies the meaning of these IDs. If you have any further questions or need additional information, please feel free to ask. We're here to assist you.

Thank you for your inquiry, and have a great day.
