Thank you for this question.
You may initiate the Transfer of the product you purchased.
1. They will have to have an AppSumo.com account so they can receive the transfer. You can do this by going to https://appsumo.com/account/products/
2. Look for your product.
3. Toggle the button next to it and click transfer product.
4. Once done, they can activate the license from within their AppSumo.com account.

This is not good, consider a case where i am managing a website and need to add tidycal as the tool of choice, all i need is add the customers email so they can manage the software, right? In my case the purhcase disappeared and i was redirected to my existing account. Not sure if its a bug as i am in the UK but contacting support for that now
