UPDF - PDF Editor All Platforms for Individuals Reviews

My main use cases are reading PDFs, filling out forms, adding my signature as an image, and printing documents — and UPDF handles all of these very well.

I was also looking for a PDF editor that lets me quickly drag and drop pages from one document to another. Surprisingly, not many PDF editors can do this properly. In UPDF, I actually find this even more convenient than in Acrobat.

I was especially impressed by the text editing. In my experience, it worked better and more reliably than in Acrobat.

Before UPDF, I tried several other Acrobat alternatives, including Wondershare PDFelement, Foxit PDF, and PDFgear. They all either lacked features I needed or didn't offer the usability I was looking for.

UPDF is the first one that finally does everything I need — at least when it comes to the features that matter to me.

The software works well. It takes some time getting used to having to hunt for functions, as there is no command bar (ribbon).
I find it very surprising that you cannot delete entire pages from protected PDFs; other programs handle this without any issues.

The biggest dealbreaker for me is the multi-page scanning feature. It is constantly glitching ("choking" up). No matter how I tweak the settings or change the hardware connection, the software stubbornly refuses to scan more than one page. It completely fails the core requirement of continuous scanning and automatic multi-page merging. Every single time, it cuts off after the first page, making it utterly useless for digitizing multi-page contracts or documents.As an AppSumo buyer, I expect a reliable tool that saves me time, not a buggy product that constantly wastes my energy and disrupts my daily workflow. Basic scanner connectivity and subsequent page reading are foundational for any PDF software—having such severe bugs here points to optimization and hardware compatibility issues.Unless the development team patches this critical defect immediately, I cannot recommend this tool. I am seriously considering asking for a refund. Proceed with caution if you need this for heavy scanning tasks.

I bought UPDF's lifetime deal a couple years ago. Not worth it. Between (1) having to constantly re-login into the app and now (2) being told to upgrade because what I previously bought on an appsumo deal is worthless. I love lifetime deals, but I don't trust these people.

This is one of the most user-friendly and responsive PDF editors I have ever used. I just wish they would add the option for encrypted signatures via a USB token.
