Good but with a lot of bugs
The design and the flow of this tool is really good, but there are a lot of problems with it.
The problems are mostly in Windows.
1) A lot of times it doesn't detect the mic well, you can't use the software and then you need to restart the computer or reinstall the app.
2) There are times I record audio and it gets some kind of error that the audio is not found or something like that and I lose the recording.
Should be a fail-safe that saves the audio on the computer and resends it so I won't just lose the data.
3) On Windows, most software allows loading on startup and by default the software is minimized, and here every time I start the computer the software opens and I hate when software does it; there is also no option to cancel it.
I would refund if i could but it seems like i am outside the 60 days money back, hope it will get better and things will get fixed, but for now I move to one of the other alternatives here or AppSumo that is more stable.

Good when it works, but fails enough that it’s not reliable
Good attempt at ai dictation app, but Voice Dash seems to periodically but enough times —> fail at capturing and transcribing anything and everything I just spoke into Voice Dash.
So I finish dictating things, only to find out it didn’t capture anything I just spoke. And so then I lost time, lost details of what I was dictating earlier, etc.
Also the time from when you end the recording to when it pops up with the copy at the cursor is long. Much longer than wisprflow.
I have the latest iPhone 17Pro with max memory by the way. So I believe it shouldn’t be a hardware issue.
Frustrating. Could potentially get used to waiting but the failed captures is a deal breaker.
Might be asking for refund and going back to WisprFlow.

Edited May 22, 2026Hi! Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback — we truly appreciate it.
We completely understand how frustrating it can be when dictation fails to capture your speech reliably, especially when it interrupts your workflow or causes you to lose details you just dictated.
We’d really like the opportunity to investigate this further and help address the issue properly. Please...

A Total Game-Changer for Productivity
I’m actually using VoiceDash right now to write this review. It saves me so much time and effort, especially during long writing sessions. The formatting is spot on, and I barely have to make any corrections. If this deal comes back, I will definitely upgrade without hesitation. This tool has made a huge difference in my productivity, and I can’t imagine going back to the old way of typing everything out manually.

Linux not supported
The listing on Appsumo states that Linux is supported and their website lists it as a beta product.
It is not ready to be even called beta as it is mostly unusable on Ubuntu 26.04 and 25.10. whenever it goes to write, it just pastes what was last copied to the clipboard instead of what was just said. The widow with the little icon is constantly glitching graphically and can't be moved. And frequently it doesn't see the microphone.
I was getting pretty fast responses from their support at first but then they just stopped. So I'll come back and update if that changes.

May 15, 2026Hi,
Thanks for sharing this feedback, and apologies for the experience on Linux so far.
We’re currently doing some fundamental changes to the Linux version, especially around clipboard handling, microphone detection, and UI rendering issues. These improvements are part of a larger update and should address the problems you mentioned as well.
We understand that the current experience on Ubuntu...

This is a Killer App!!!
Actually using Voice Dash to write this review. This tool is absolutely incredible and has completely changed the way I use my computer. Gone are the days of typing, backspacing, spell‑checking, and that type of thing. Now I just speak to my computer and, voila, everything just shows up, formatted the way I want. It's pretty amazing, and this totally beats the text‑to‑speech solution I used on my Mac. I mocked all the people in typing class growing up, and now who's the guy who doesn't know how to type? I can type 150 words a minute with no problem. This tool is truly a game-changer for me and my work. I am so much more efficient and just get stuff done faster. It's brilliant.
