"WordPress 301 Redirects - Easy Redirect Manager plugin vulnerability. Immediate update is highly recommended. Versions: < 2.51. Affected file: eps-301-redirects.php. Type: SQL Injection. More details: the vulnerability allows an authenticated user to execute arbitrary SQL queries in the database. https://wordpress.org/plugins/eps-301-redirects/#developers , https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/2360065/ . Update the plugin for the latest version: https://wordpress.org/plugins/eps-301-redirects/ ."
The issue affected the older version of the free plugin from the repository, and it was fixed a few months ago. Just make sure you have the latest version of the plugin installed, and you're good to go ;)
Another Sumo-ling asked about several features and was told that these are available only on the paid plugin. These include rebranding, reporting and logging.
Your description above states:
"Here are a few features that set it apart from similar plugins and make this freebie worth downloading: ⭐ automatic fixing of typos in URLs ⭐ auto-redirects when changing content permalinks ⭐ complete control over all redirects on your sites ⭐ smarter handling of affiliate links ⭐ 404 and redirect logs + email reports ⭐ one Dashboard to control all your licenses, sites, brands, stats, and logs ⭐ complete rebranding - make your own plugin and use it with clients; no messing with code, everything is done from our Dashboard ⭐ brandable PDF reports for your clients ⭐ centralized 404 and redirect logs from all sites - no need to login on 10 sites, everything is in the Dashboard"
I'm not really understanding how you can claim that your freebie does these things and then state that they are included only in the upgrade.
I was ready to jump on it and even considered looking into the upgrade. Seeing this contradiction gives me great pause.
A: Hi Suzanne, Thank you for taking an interest in our plugin! And very sorry if we caused the confusion.
The features in the description are all the features that the plugin offers, but unfortunately, not all of them are included in the freebie. Some of the features like rebranding and remote reports/logs are available only in the other tiers.
Q: I started using your plugin and there’s something I don’t understand.
You state that you are GDPR compliant, but your plugin saves the IP addresses of users. Other redirect plugins offer the option to anonymize IP addresses, hiding the last part of the IP. Or even disable IP logging completely.
Again, I just started using the plugin and maybe I just can’t find this option in your settings. But so far I don’t see it anywhere.
In case this option does not exist, I would have to require the user’s consent to save their IP address just because of this plugin. I don't log IPs with any other tool, not even analytics.
Could you please explain if there is a way to not log the IPs, or anonymize them?
A: Hi, Thank you for taking an interest in WP 301 Redirects! :)
Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible not to log IPs or anonymized them. But if you can suggest that in the official roadmap, we'll definitely consider adding the option in one of the future updates :)

A: Hi, Thank you for taking an interest in our plugin! :)
Yes, the free license allows you to use the plugin on ten sites simultaneously, which means you can always delete it on one site, and reuse it on the other ;)
The licenses are managed via the dashboard. Please see more details here: https://docs.wp301redirects.com/article/314-add-new-license-key

Q: Hello, I have Wordfence running on my websites and that plugin already redirects malicious bots etc.
Can I run WP 301 next to it or does it cause conflicts?
