Q: Question about your tool
Hello, I’ve just purchased your tool and I’d like to clarify one feature.
Is it possible to highlight a piece of text that I have already written manually, and then use a voice command to ask Blip to modify or improve it based on my instructions?
To be clear, I’m referring to text that is already written. I’d like to select it, speak my instructions, and have Blip rewrite or enhance it accordingly.

Apr 28, 2026A: Hi! Thank you for supporting WriteVoice, I really really appreciate that.
Can you help me understand better? In my understanding, WriteVoice takes your voice -> Turns it into text inside any app
Selecting text would depend on the behavior of the target app(s) you want to use (like Blip, although I'm not familiar with them)
PS: if you want to modify/change something in the text. we have a notes feature. just tap the note in your dashboard and you will see 25+ rewrite styles + translations + the ability to create your own rewrite styles.
Let me know if that helps, looking forward to your answer 🙏
Thank you. I’m not sure if I was clear, so I’ll try to give a concrete example: I’ve written an email manually and I want to improve it because I’m not satisfied with the first draft. Can I select the entire email text and give your tool a prompt like: 'Based on this text, improve it by making it more professional and switch from informal to formal tone ?
ah Yes!
Whatever you dictate -and you are not happy about- you can rewrite yes.
Just open the app, and click on what you dictated, it will open the text editor -> click on the cirlce arrow in purple, and you can select a rewrite option you like.
Pro tip: You can even create your own prompt, this way, you always rewrite to your liking emails, etc..
Did I answer the question?
This is not exactly my question. I don’t want a notepad to open on the right. I just want to be able to select the text I want to edit and give a prompt using voice dictation so that it directly improves the text, without opening another window or having to configure anything. Is that possible or not?
I get your question now. the answer is no. If you select a field, you can't edit it by voice. That's an interesting use case though!
