Even asking a question costs money
Unfortunately, this WebView app bundle from AppMySite, which I purchased via AppSumo, didn’t meet my expectations. The notification system—one of the most basic features—costs extra, and they even charge for support. I can’t publish the app because it makes no sense without push notification integration. Moreover, there has been no response to my support request for days.
These limitations are not mentioned in the product description. It’s a big disappointment to face this “everything costs extra” model after the purchase. Push notification is a must-have for anyone building a WebView app, yet here, even that is treated as a paid add-on.
This kind of disregard for customer experience reflects poorly—not on AppSumo—but on AppMySite as the service provider.
The product’s shortcomings should be clearly stated upfront, and at the very least, basic support should be free. As it stands, the product is unusable.

To clarify, you don’t need to pay extra for plain notifications. However, if you’d like to use an advanced notification system with support for rich media, you are required to pay extra.

No matter how many changes I make in wordpress or via Apple login, it WILL NOT STAY LOGGED IN FOR apple.
I want to love AppMySite but I've been spending far longer getting my simple app to work than feels necessary. This wordpress to app is working fine in the android test, but no matter what method I use (wordpress login only) or app native login, it asks to login in EVERY page. This is incredibly annoying and really removes the ease of developing an app for a simple project. I just need it to work!

This does not affect your AppSumo license. You can continue using AppMySite to build apps. You can also continue getting support for your app by contacting our support team via the email ticketing channel.

Bad Support
If you used your work email to sign up for the app and now your company is no longer around, they won't be able to help you switch to a personal email. In my situation, I closed my business a few months ago and totally forgot to switch my email back to a personal one. I reached out to them for assistance in changing the email, but they informed me that it's not possible to make the switch, even though I showed them the invoice from Appsumo.

Misleading and Unreliable – Stay Away!
This service is a complete disappointment. They advertise a lifetime deal, but once you’re in, you realize you have to pay monthly to actually use it. Essential features are locked behind expensive add-ons, making the initial purchase almost useless.
Beyond that, the platform itself is unreliable. Builds fail without explanation, support is slow and unhelpful, and they even lost critical keys needed to update apps. If your app gets rejected by Apple or Google, don’t expect much help—just an offer to pay more for their "publishing assistance."
Save yourself the frustration. There are better, more honest alternatives out there.
The reply was not true; you absolutely need their add-on because they don't allow you to add any custom code. You can't add any trackers by yourself. You have to pay them to do so. You have to pay them for the iOS feature to receive payment; otherwise, you cannot use the Apple feature.

Plugin was last updated 8 months ago!
I purchased a Tier5 and do like the service. My gripe is the wordpress connector. I have tried everything from disabling all plugins to whitelisting the IPs. The plugin is 8 months old which is a serious red flag for me. Do you plan on updating the plugin anytime soon?

It is unfortunate, they made a bait and switch, Keep reading the comments and it seems all of us were just dreaming the exact same situation. You promised one thing, changed your mind, now they are all add-ons!
Yea, Yea - From the beginning we said pro plan.....blah blah..... Honestly I'd be happier if you just owned up to it and said, we went in over our heads, it got big, we can't afford so we have to charge, but don't make us sumolings look like we are in the wrong. You said, you changed your mind, now we have to pay. Hopefully a future buyer will see this and take heed that unless you pay them monthly, not much use of this app

The offline version, which seems like a standard feature, costs $3,000 per year per app, and other essential functions—like monetization, subscription-based apps, and app store submission support—also require extra payments.
It feels like the “lifetime deal” isn’t truly lifetime, but rather an initial buy-in with ongoing charges for key features. I understand that continuous improvements come at a cost, but I wish there was more transparency upfront about these future expenses. I wish I could refund the entire thing.

We understand you have concerns about some features being made available as add-ons. Just to clarify about the offline mode feature, this will be made available as an add-on and it won’t cost $3000/yr. We will be able to share more details once the feature is introduced as an add-on for AppSumo customers.
When our deal was made available back in 2021, we clarified that our AppSumo deal was equivalent to the Pro plan on our website. Any new features in the Pro plan would automatically make their way to your AppSumo license. Features and products like custom post support, Web to app solution, Custom app solution, etc have progressively been made available to AppSumo users as they’re part of our Pro plan.
Premium plan features (like offline access and in-app purchases) carry an ongoing cost, which is why we can't offer them in a lifetime deal. This is why we offer these features as add-ons.
Also, if you’d like to submit on the App Store, you don’t need to pay us $99. You can sign up for a cloud Mac service and upload the app from your Windows/Linux system.

Definitely don't buy it. It simply doesn't work as expected anymore.
From a good idea to a lot of not clear bugs.
We bought this on 2021. We need a webview app connected to wordpress, nothing particularly difficult and it was good. We took Tier 3. After the last publish of app in 2023 (we bought tier 4) the nightmare:
1) No build succesfully done after november 2023 (we succeed today, removing all part of notification)
2) They "LOST" key of Android version (their key, we cannot access it), so we cannot update on Google Console the app published before, need to delete an re-create on store... embarassing.
3) The build of today is totally not working. Apple refused it. And no testflight test.
The problem is that the testflight using their Appmysite test app goes without any problem... so they have enormous problems in CREATING distributable and working BUILDS.
Information on error in the site are minimal, and their anwsers are totally unuseful. We restart creating all certificates on developer of apple following their "cut'n paste" guide.
And surprise: NO BUILD.
All this seems that they are developing the creation part (adding features) but ignoring the self build part. Probably because from some months they added paid features to help you publish...

the app decides it doesn't want to play nice with other plugins, so you're forced to deactivate the plugins and then find it won't work at all, waste of money might as well use GoNative.io

We understand you’d like us to support more plugins. Our plugin is designed to be compatible with native WordPress REST APIs. If a third-party plugin uses these APIs, there’s a good chance it will be compatible with AppMySite.
In addition, we provide support for custom post types and taxonomies. Any plugin using custom post types and taxonomies can be synced to your app.
In case you’re using plugins incompatible with AppMySite, one workaround is to switch to our Web to app product. It essentially renders your mobile site in the app and does not rely on plugin compatibility. You can additionally add menus, bottom bars, send push notifications, etc.

I'd Pass If I Were Looking To Purchase
I purchased the highest tier (Tier 5) for Agency which WAS a part of the deal and was the only reason why I purchased the platform in 2023. I reached out to the developers and they tried to convince me that it never was a part of the deal when I know other Sumolings and I aren't just seeing things or making things up. Almost every feature that was included is now an add-on with a monthly price, which should not be allowed by AppSumo. I can't create the Agency, or add team members after my refund period ended. I think the tier even shows Tier 4 now instead of Tier 5 (Edit: It still shows AppSumo Tier 5). They've totally switched up the entire offer to squeeze more money out of its users when most of the times the apps you generate do not even work correctly. The AppMySite team really pulled a Bait and Switch move on all of the Sumolings who purchased with their first launch here. Without the Agency feature it's really pointless to have, no one has 1000 sites to generate apps for themselves. It really doesn't make sense. Just a total disappointment for me. So much so, I don't even use the platform any longer and can't get a full refund. I wish I had taken a screenshot of their 5 tiers to show them, they in fact changed every feature that was promised to early Sumolings. I would steer clear of this offer at all costs.

If you’re on Tier 5, you can upgrade to a higher license and get the Agency white-label product.

Not any different from any other web to app
As i have a charity site which i dont make money of and didnt want to spend to much i tried appmysite to see if this could create an app for my wordpress site. Yes it can, but it isnt any different from any other web to app plugin. So if this the only thing you need, there are better and cheaper solution. My review isnt for other functionalities of this software.
And what made me initiate a refund and the 2 taco's is the banner on top of the app saying app made by appmysite which only isnt visible in higher tiers. I get that you would do something like this when using a free version of software, but you shouldnt let paying customers pay for your marketing, even if its just tier 1. You just dont do that

While we do have a Web to app product, we also have three products that allow you to create fully native apps -
1. WordPress to app - Syncs your WordPress website with a native app interface with its own login/signup screen, posts, pages, etc. WordPress website content is constantly synced with the app and presented in a native interface, and not just a webview.
2. WooCommerce to app - Syncs your WooCommerce store with a native app interface with its own login/signup screen, products, cart, checkout, etc. WooCommerce data is constantly synced with the app and presented in a native interface. In addition, the store's payment gateway and shipping methods are also rendered in the app. AppMySite ensures universal payment and shipping support.
3. Custom app - This enables you to build an app without a website. You can add content from your AppMySite account and publish it in a native app interface.
We assume you may have used our Web to app product, which is designed to render your mobile site in an app interface. However, as have explained, we have other products with capabilities that go beyond simple web-to-app services.
We understand your feedback regarding AppMySite branding being visible on Tier 1. We have relayed this to the senior team and will try to see if we can change this in the future.
We're sorry you had to refund, but hope you'd give AppMySite another chance and explore our product. We're sure there's plenty of value here for a charity website.

Unexpected Changes
When I bought Tier 2, it had so many features and promised updates/upgrades.
There weren't codes up to 10. I think Appmysite is a bit sneaky and opened up more codes, not living up to their promise to grandfather their plans. I won't be surprised that more codes will be opened up after 10 to accommodate new features.

When we first launched on AppSumo in 2021, we started with five license tiers. Until August 2024, we kept the deal limited to five tiers. We introduced multiple new features and products in the same license structure (such as the Custom app product, web-to-app product, support for custom post types, etc.).
We introduced tiers 6 to 10 because there was a demand for our Agency white-label product. These tiers were introduced to make this product available to AppSumo users. We can assure you we continue to support and add new features to all license tiers and currently don't have any plans to add new tiers beyond tier 10.
