I used Emailit to send onboarding and engagement emails for our mobile app (1M+ downloads). The SMTP integration worked fine technically.

However, my workspace was permanently suspended after a compliance review. We send service-related emails to existing, paying app customers — not cold newsletters. Despite this, the vendor insists we violated their policy and refuses to reinstate the workspace. The suspension conveniently came 4 months after purchase — well past the refund window.

Ironically, the deal page literally advertises "Send transactional and marketing emails easily" — yet sending marketing emails to my own customers is exactly what got my workspace suspended.

When I tried to resolve the issue on Discord, the founder accused me of lying and providing "misleading information." No constructive path to resolution was offered — just accusations and a flat refusal.

I was never able to use my full sending volume — it was artificially throttled from the start. So the product didn't just get suspended, it never actually delivered what was promised. On top of that, the vendor can permanently suspend your workspace at their discretion with no appeal process. Not reliable for any serious email infrastructure. I'd recommend a more established provider where you won't risk losing access overnight.

Purchased this a few months ago and although we're nowhere near close to the limits of the account, have just upgraded - more to support the developer than anything after so many updates were pushed out consistently. Thanks George!

There's been a few negative reviews and criticism, so let's address that....

Does it work perfectly 'out of the box'? That depends on the quality of your data!
If you're trying to send a ton of spammy emails, you'll run into issues.
If you've not configured your domain properly or ensured you are using legit email address, you may run into issues.
Not because they don't care - quite the opposite! They want to be sure that every customer is able to use the platform smoothly for genuine emails... anything that threatens that needs reviewing. Simple.

We had a few issues initially with a Client's email delivery - support sorted it swiftly and changed the sending pool, but there were also a lot of issues with the emails being used.

Very responsive support, and continuous improvements and new features.

Highly recommended.

i have refunded my plan based on:

1. they limited my 1m monthly sending plan to 150k per month, unless i request more from them. this is mis-selling and appsumo needs to be aware of this

2. they now have a verification thing, and they rejected us cos we use magic links on our app!

be warned before you buy!

Using Emailit has completely transformed how I handle email communications. The ease of sending both transactional and marketing emails is impressive, and the verification feature has significantly improved my deliverability rates. Highly recommend it!

This is really a gem, we are already using it with our Saas, awesome app and the API is really powerful!

I hope this lasts for years and years to come!
