The deal is nice. We have to, however, create workspaces for different setups (workspaces) and these need their own license which makes it quite expensive. E.g. there’s no way to split 250,000 credit points in 2 workspaces. Since a workspace with more than 2 domains mean unlimited domains, we need the plan 3 for most of these workspaces. While we don’t send that much, we still need those plans.
An alternative is to not use the workspaces but only one or a few. But that gives no control to a customer that wants to use the marketing features for a specific domain

The product works, it’s great. But it has some items that should be addressed. This was one.

One other thing that needs addressing is the license that is being used on the workspaces if you have quite a few workspaces and licenses, it’s very unclear which one is used for which workspace thus causing an upgrade or cancellation on the wrong workspace. This is something both AppSumo and Emailit have to change (show license used) - that’d make things much easier.

I’d love to see those two issues addressed. That’d complete the product.

One of the biggest issues is how unclear it is to prove legitimate opt-in subscribers.

I was migrating from another platform with a real, permission-based list and even offered to verify that through my previous provider. It still wasn’t clear what format or proof was actually required.

Instead of clear guidance, the process felt rigid and unhelpful, making it difficult to move forward even with a valid use case.

If you’re considering this, save yourself some time — come prepared with detailed proof of opt-ins (timestamps, source data, exports, etc.). Otherwise, expect delays and a frustrating back-and-forth during verification.

There’s potential here, but the onboarding and verification process need serious improvement.

I purchased Emailit with the intention of setting up email marketing for my small business. The pricing and feature set looked promising, but the onboarding experience has been more frustrating than expected.

The biggest pain point is the verification process. It is not clearly explained upfront what is actually required. When it says "verify domain" during onboarding, it does not simply mean confirming your DNS records are correct — it requires specific wording and information when you first set up your workspace. My DNS records all showed as OK, so I assumed I was good to go. It took several days to figure out that the issue was with how I completed the onboarding, not my DNS setup. Clearer documentation here would save new users a lot of confusion.

Verification itself can take a week or longer, and support response times are slow, which makes troubleshooting difficult when you are stuck at this stage and cannot send any emails yet.

I want to be fair — I have not been able to fully use the product yet, so I cannot speak to how well it actually performs for sending. The concept is solid and the pricing is competitive. But for a tool aimed at small business owners who may not be technical, the onboarding process needs to be significantly more transparent about exactly what is needed at each step.

Reserving final judgment until I am through verification and can actually send emails. Will update my review at that point.

Emailit so far has been a great platform to use.
I purchased this tool today as a hobbyist for some of my personal tools and services I host.

Its such a no nonsense platform, they say they do email, the platform does email. And they do it well!. Boom thats it!

So far:
*knock on wood*
No upsells, no bait and switches, no unwanted features shoved against the user, my emails are delivering, my API keys work well, reliability seems fantastic, documentation was straightforward for me.

I think the only thing that I didn't intuitively understand was how inbound emails work (webhookk to know when you get one, then api call to read it and do whatever with it)

And honestly that was kind of a "shoulda read the manual" moment I failed on lol, but I gave the discord support a try, quick, to the point, again no nonsense, no friction, good professional business.

Love it honestly, I have nothing bad to say!
