Q: Why is it requiring a separate code to use the web app?
I love Letterly but the deal terms are not being honored. They say 1 code = 1 device (not 1 app). I have 2 codes: one for my Mac and 1 for my phone (android). The web app works on both devices therefore I should be able to use it on both my Mac and Android like the deal terms say but I cannot, it says I need a 3rd code. Can you please fix this.

Jun 12, 2026A: Hi!
Thank you for bringing this up!
This is not a bug 🙏
The web version has always counted as a separate license under the AppSumo offer, and we have been transparent about this from the beginning.
In the tier description, Web is listed alongside the other platforms, separated by slashes, just like iOS / Android / Mac / Windows / Web. It is not described as something automatically included with another device license.
The AppSumo deal is device-based, and Web is treated as its own platform. We do not limit minutes, notes, recordings, or AI usage, so device licenses are the way we keep resource usage fair across all users.
Sorry for any confusion here, your account is currently working as intended and according to the AppSumo offer terms. 🙏

The wording needs to be corrected then because a web app is not a device. You can't just redefine words in the small print. That is very misleading. You need to use the correct ones.
There's not such incorrect wording. It is perfectly clear since two years ago. Please have a look by yourself :

Yes, they redefine the word "device" in other areas. Thats exactly my point. They should just use the correct word in the deal terms. 1 code = 1 app (not device). Would be interesting to see how many questions, support emails and reviews that choice cost them.
This code-based deal has been defined for two years already, and many users have agreed that WebApp access = 1 device slot. It’s really as simple as that.
You can also check the Discord server for yourself. So far, users have not raised many questions about the meaning of “device”.
That said, if you’re not comfortable with it, you’re always free to request a refund and choose a different deal.

They have, a quick search shows a lot of people confused about it. I stand by what I said. The deal terms are misleading and they should correct it. A web app is not a device. If they want to charge per app, thats fine. Correct the deal terms to say that. SIMPLE. 🤷♀️
Such disagreement is less about the definition and more about whether WebApp access should require an additional code. That’s fine, but the deal terms have been applied consistently for two years, and WebApp access has always been treated as one device slot. If that doesn’t suit you, feel free to request a refund and choose a different deal.
